Where oh where have my pictures gone??

Hi everyone. I have asked SCS on the "contact" form to help me out with this but have not received a response....I am hoping you can help me!

I have a couple of questions about uploading (obviously, I'm not doing it right because they are not appearing and/or disappering).

First, yesterday I uploaded pictures into an album. Then I realized they weren't showing in the craft spaces area, so I re-uploaded them in that area. I was getting some questions asked so I edited the photo to include the remarks. Sortly after I received an email from SCS that it was approved, but when I went to the photo it was gone, as was everything else in my gallery. (My album was still there though.) Weird?? I asked them in the contact form if they could maybe get them back but I haven't heard yet.

Today, I am uploading my first card. I thought I put it in "The More The Merrier" section, but it is not showing up there. Now only in my album. Do you know what I am doing wrong??

The most common reason for disappearing pictures is that they don't have unique names. If you use the default name that your camera, or computer assigns each picture someone else may have the same name for their picture, which means yours gets deleted. Keep in mind it's not the title you enter when uploading, it's the actual file name that has to be unique. HTH

Thanks for your reply KatarinaM. Beate just sent me an email forwarding me to this thread on how to upload properly. It says the same thing; to rename the images on my computer to a unique name. All is good again!!
