I used to spend lots of time on internet galleries. Before that I spent lots of money on stamping magazines. I still love my stamping clubs and get many ideas there. BUT, the place I spend so much time getting the "cream of the crop" ideas are the blogs!! Seems to me like so many people save their really artistic cards for their own blogs rather than putting them in the galleries these days. Are you finding the same thing?
I love these galleries! I have gotten so many new ideas...and I wouldn't know where to begin looking for the right blogs. Plus, if I find a great card on SCS, it's likely a blog link will be there too.

I voted other just 'cause I get ideas from lots of places and don't have a real favorite. The whole world's got inspiration, and I'm trying to soak it all in!
Of course, the people who post here and share THEIR inspiration in the gallery are just fabulous!
This would have been a good poll to allow multiple choices. I checked blogs because I have several I visit daily for the info these wonderful ladies share, but I also wanted to check online galleries because I look at the SCS gallery nearly as often.
I post my SCS challenge cards on my blog. I think if you are looking for ideas there is no better place than the SCS gallery. So much easier than sifting through blogs for a specific idea.

Online galleries...SCS primarily, maybe one other from time to time. And then some blogs...if the card I see here looks real interesting, and they mention a blog I might go check it out and the others that are there. Unfortunately, spending time at all these wonderful places keeps me from actually stamping as much as I should...even after I've been super inspired. Would love to be able to do both...24/7...but alas, real life interferes.
If I wanted ideas on a specific SU set, I would definitely go to the SCS glleries. However, I pretty much stick to blogs. I can get lost sometimes blogging -- going from link to link -- but most of the time I stick to a handful of stampers whose work I like (that handful is growing!!).

Stamping magazines, SCS, and Stampin' Up! are my favorite places to browse. Even while I plan a blog for the benefit of my downline & customers, I spend more time with the 3 sources I listed above when I'm in a browsing mood, or looking for a stamping nudge. ;)
I know if I want to use a particular set, I'll pull up the gallery here and put it on slideshow and just let the ideas wash over me.
I was chuckling the other day - I pulled up a card that used the Au Chocolat paper and decided I wanted to CASE it - but only a few elements of it. DH was on the laptop (it's his, but I'm using it til my new motherboard arrives) and I'd go in and ask him to click on the browser link with the card so I could look at it again.... and the cards really don't look alike, but when I scan it, I'll definitely mention where I got my inspiration!
I don't ALWAYS remember what card inspired me, when I do the slideshow. But I like the feeling of watching the cards go by and things just soaking in.
I've noticed that when I am inspired by something in the Fan Club gallery, I simplify it, but even so, I have learned that I love cards that look "lush."

I get most of my inspiration here! Once in awhile I'll click on someone's blog link to get more details, but find that I spent too much time browsing blogs when I really don't have the time to spare. For me, this is all the inspiration I need.. I can find anything and everything here!
I picked magazines. I can't afford to buy magazines that often but I do go to Barnes and Noble on my lunch hour every few weeks and sit and look through the stamping and art magazines. I'm not very good at casing cards so most of my stuff I come up with myself. Though the color combo challenges are quite helpful in picking colors for a card.
I selected "other" because I get inspiration from virtually *everywhere* for card ideas, but they frequently aren't card-making or art-stamping related at all!

Inspiration comes from everywhere, but generally I would say a selected group of blogs. As a new stamper, I am interested in techniques and how the cards are done as well as design. The blogs I view have excellent discussion, pictures, etc. that help me with that. SCS is great for the SU gallery especially for retired stamp sets that I am unfamiliar with. A lot of talent here!

I gotta agree with this - I actually get a lot of my inspiration from things like clothing, NON-stamping mags, interior design - well anything really!!!!
I get the vast majority of my inspiration right here on SCS! I do, however, have a few blogs that feature mostly SU stuff that I check on a few times a week.
As for posting, everything (SU stamping related) that I post on my blog, I also post here in my gallery.
