There is room under the shelves for my sewing machine to stay set up and also my ironing board is up all the time. Seldom iron but comes in handy as an extra table.
I use my ironing board as an auxillary craft station too It's a better height too for my Big Shot, score board and guillotine (easier on the back to stand when cutting/scoring/die-cutting!)
I also share a spare bedroom with my husband's huge exercise set-up. Nice rooms those that shared photo's. On my Bohodvia you have lots of stuff and juststampin your area is so organized. This is the only picture I have and probably the best view. My table is a 2' x 5' hollow door door my husband put legs on for me. The shelves are all things I've scarfed onto. My photo's are where I get my limited inspiration. Wish I had a whole picture but our house is in WI and we're in FL. 1400 miles to far to drive to get pick of room. lol....
I use the bonus room that we added to our modular ranch style house in the early 1980's along with a big garage and entry area. I've claimed half the room for the desktop pc, printer, sewing machine in it's own table with drawers, copier, ironing board, my needlework threads and misc other stuff. It's a mix of old furniture and storage units but works for me! Don't see the point in not using what I already have.
Part of a larger room in a separate building. I have a lot of storage but I have a lot of stuff. The lighting is really bad. It needs major improvement. I also take over a table in the other part of the room when doing big projects, like making albums. Unless we have guests, I am not in anyone's way when I make a mess.
I have my own art space indoors. However in Summer I like to drag my stuff outside and work in the backyard. I also have a travel bag that has duplicates of everything that I use
on a regular basis, so when I'm away I still have my favorite toys.
I have a dedicated room. I have to share it with my crazy animals and their toys. Husband that borrows things out of my room, lol.
I also have a rolling cart/table my DH made for me that I bring in the living room. I use that when I am gaming and want to make pretty things between chapters in my games.
We have 2 living rooms (or maybe one is a family room? My Gma used to call her rooms differently) so one has the couch and big screen TV and the other I've turned into more of an office. I had no use for 2 living rooms!! I have a desk/w my computer, table, shelves and file cabinet. Hubby has a desk w/his computer, 2 file cabinets and a bookshelf. Kids have a desk with their computer.
I share our third bedroom with my husband, made into an office and craft room. A year ago we removed the very large computer desk. We replaced it with a smaller desk from Ikea - much more efficient. Purchased shelves for computer supplies. We purchased another desk from Ikea, along with a 16 cube Kallax unit, and a tall Alex drawer unit. The desks are on opposite walls. We also purchased some doors, some drawers, and some bins for the Kallax unit. Everything is right where I need it. I barely have to stand up to reach things. We also share a large bookcase, which was already in the room, and I have a shelf above the desk. The total cost was $1300 and I don't know why we didn't do this years ago. I'm thrilled with it. Before this I used to craft on the dining room table and my supplies were all over the house in plastic drawers. I'm a happy stamper now.
I have a dedicated room for my stamping and sewing. I used to have a larger area in our basement but after my daughter moved out, I took her room upstairs and use it far more often now. When I'm working on a large sewing project I have to use the dining room table to cut fabric now but still sew in my craft room.
I use a dedicated room which used to be the largest of our guest rooms. I also store stamp sets in a guest room in an antique glassed bookshelf, and in two hallway closets. I have LOTS of craft supplies and I even recently downsized. I've retired and my hubby doesn't want me to get rid of anything I might use. I just gifted several containers of supplies to someone. I have space and can usually remember where everything is! LOL
Dedicated room... beautiful room approx. 12x15 with a long walk in closet. It has 9' ceiling and a huge window. My DH put in cupboards both upper and lower so I have a great counter to work on. I also have my dad's recliner, a hutch for more storage and to display some of my collectables plus a great spot for my boombox. A worktable and some rolling carts for paper! I am one lucky crafter!!
I share the loft type area with hubby. 3/4 of it is his gaming/fishing/whatever he's doing at the moment room. The rest is for my craft stuff. I have the Martha stewart desk from Home Depot, 2 4x4 cubes from Ikea and a 6 shelf cube set on it's side. Decided this weekend that I'm going to go through the scrapbooking stuff and get rid of it as I don't enjoy it anymore and am excited to see how much space I'm going to free up. Oh, I do also have 2 of the rolling carts from Ikea as well.
From the heart you have a awesome room and set-up. As with many of us our crafty space varies. I am thankful for the space I have in our home and I'm sure like you all are thankful for the craft supplies we've been able to buy to allow all of us to do what we do. Make Cake for others or to keep for ourselves.
I'm fortunate to have a dedicated craft room. It's a small bedroom and my stamping area is a rolltop desk, with an armoire and Iris rolling storage on one side of the room. The space also has my quilting table and a second armoire (plus I use the closet too) for my quilting supplies. Oh, and a twin bed on the only other open wall for guests, assuming it is cleared off and not being used for my embossing folder box, or 12x12 guillotine cutter, or a stack of stamp sets or... LOL
