I get my paint cans at Lowe's. The Home Depot here locally does not carry them. Some SCSers get them on line.

Also, please find the "search" button at the top of this page. Click on it. Type in paint cans in the search area, click again and you will find many, many threads on this topic.

If you will go to the gallery link and do a search there for paint cans you will see some beautiful samples.

Good luck.

I've purchased my paint cans at MAB paint store and also at Porter Paints. The ones Lowes had had ridges in the side. I guess that would work if you are completely covering the can but for my project I liked the smooth ones better. Happy stamping!

Also check out the Container Store. I think the website is www.containerstore.com. They've got some of the best things there, and they're pretty reasonable! They got the cans without handles, in all different sizes. They also carry tons of other containers: small round metal containers, bigger ones, tons of gift package containers such as Chinese take-out, etc.

Whenever I go into the store I end up walking out with $100 worth of stuff. Now that I'm on the subject, I just might have to make a run there (without DH of course). He cringes everytime we go in there!

Have fun!!!!

Default paint cans

Sherwin Williams paint stores will often give the quart sized cans away if you're just asking for 1, 2 or 3. I sent my husband in to buy 10 of them for a dollar each, and they ended up just comping him all 10! I couldn't believe it.

Remember, the answer is always no unless you ask!!!

I bought mine from Menards. I think they were $2.25 each for the large ones with lids. I also bought some quart size ones with lids but no handles for $1.49 each. Kerry

I "asked Sherwin Williams" and they have the gallons for $2.79 each (Yes I live in a pricy area!) I'm going to look around further - that seems expensive to me!

What a cool store! We don't have these in my area. Saved that site to my favorites...will be ordering some stuff from there for sure! Thanks for sharing devildog.
