For me, it is at the most inconvenient time of the day. In the morning when I just wake up. My mind is fresh with new ideas. The only problem is that I have two kids that I have to get ready for the day. Sometimes I manage to sneak some time in my craft room real quick, but most days I am just sketching my thoughts over coffee.
Midday when I am busy with my 10mth old or late evening when I feel too lazy or tired to go play. I think I need to just go at in the evening after my hubby eats dinner. Y have so many cards saved under favs to copy. Just need to do it. LOL
I do best mid afternoon, when I have got all my chores done(atleast the ones I want to get done), and I have had time to think about what I want to do. Usually I get on here and look at the days challenge, then while I do other stuff, I think about what I want to do and use. By the time I sit down to do it, it flies together, thankfully. Late at night, I have to force it,and end up making things that I dont really like!!
I feel most creative in the few hours after I wake up. Usually though, after getting my kids up and on with the day, I don't get to my stuff till afternoon or evenings. Sometimes, I declare a craft day and then get busy!

I'm not sure when I'm most creative (lol), but I stamp mostly during the day after I'm done with my work (I work from home) while the kids are at school. But I also like to stamp at night after everyone else goes to bed--love the silence of the night.
Sadly, I usually have my most creative thought when it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to stamp---in the pick up line at my dd's school, out at the park, bathtime....so my thoughts have to wait...
I do try to jot down an idea when i have it though so I dont lose my idea completely!
I'm with Cammie...and I'm so NOT with Donna! Um, why are you up at 4am????? That is just craziness Creative ideas usually hit me when I'm mentally zoned out at the playground or laying in bed at night. Then during naptime I try to get it all out on paper. Or cardstock.
My stamping time is limited during the week to the evening after work and I have to be careful about that because I get so wound up when I start stamping that I can't go to sleep. So, my most creative time is Friday and Saturday nights between 8 p.m. and 4 a.m.
I'm most creative when I need to make a card or draw something for someone who just doesn't care what it would look like - then I get really creative. But INconveniently, when I make a card for someone (like someone who is a talented card-maker) ...my mind goes blank.
Not right now or I would be creating instead of reading the forum. Actually first thing in the morning or late afternoon when I get my second wind are best.
I'm definitely a morning stamper, although that tends to be noon for most of you "east coasters". By evening my brain is burnt, although I periodically get inspiration at about 3am, DH LOVES that!
Mostly late afternoon until pretty late at night... definitely more of a night owl. Luckily I can often sleep later in the mornings or if I do happen to get up early as well, I may sneak in a *power nap* in the afternoon.
My most creative time starts around 9 pm. Then I'm up way past midnight putting my creative thoughts to work. It would be so much nicer if my brain would start churning a few hours earlier. I'm up at 6 to go to work, so I don't often get more than 4 hours or so of sleep. Oh, and if I wake up at 3 am, I'm up again creating. But don't ask me to make a card at noon - no ideas come to me at noon.
I like to stamp in the morning after I get the kids off to school - I think that is also when I'm most creative. Now that I'm back at work I can't get in my morning stamping so I have to settle for the evening.
I would love to stamp at night when the house is quiet. But after a full day of chasing after kids I'm too tired. I just end up sitting there looking blankly at all of my stuff. Even if cased or did a challenge, I really have no energy for it.
I've considered getting up extra early just to stamp, but my dd gets me up at 5 or 6 am as it is. I can't imagine working on even less sleep!

I'm a morning stamper, mostly creative then I tend to stamp between 7 and 8 am before I get the girls off to school and before the daycare kiddie shows up!

I am best when in my stamping room and not on the computer. Maybe a little better in the AM when I'm fresh, but I work FT so usually stamp evenings and weekends.
It looks like I'm in the minority, but I'm at my best in the wee hours of the night, after my family is in bed.
Unfortunately, my creativity just get going around 11:30 and it's not unusual to go to bed when my DH is getting up at 5:00!!!! The poor dog can't get any rest! She looks at me as if to say, "You people are crazy!"
The bad news is that I usually have to get up in an hour or two for work.
oh well...
I'm most creative when I'm inspired to work on something. It doesn't really matter if it's 5:30 in the morning, or if it's 8:00 at night. If inspiration hits, I had better RUN to the stamp space and get working.
I do find that just upon waking in the morning, ideas come to me and if I don't have time (have to get ready for the dreaded day job) to craft, I'll jot it down and come back to it later. I don't know what it is about the "first thing in the morning", but ideas just seem to flow to me in those moments between sleep and waking up.
I stamp while having my coffee at around 4:30 a.m. I'm just to tired in the evening. So stamping before leaving for work at 7:30 a.m. works out well for me.
I wish I was able to stamp every day, or even every weekend. I reserve time in my weekend schedule for a special stamping day, either by myself or with my stamping friend. Then the night before I look at my favorites here or at some Take Ten magazines. And in the morning I'm rarin' to go. I can do about a half-dozen cards. By late afternoon, though, I've got no more creativity left.
also, I keep a little pad of paper next to my bed. Sometimes when I am going to sleep or just waking up I think of something for a card and I just make a quick sketch. That helps jog the creativity too.

I am in the morning group also. I just can't do it then as I am getting the kids ready for school and myself ready for work. But on my day off I make sure everything on my 'chore' list is done so that on that day - I can start first thing!
I get a nice cup of tea and put on my favorite station and I am good to go!!!!!
I'm a night owl, maybe because I don't have kids that need attention. If I am producing multiples of something, I find I can watch TV and crank them out once I have formulated the design and worked through that first prototype card or ATC. It's no problem unless I have an early morning appointment the next day. Then sometimes i just have to suffer for my art!
What a fun Thread. I would have to say when I can't sleep. I'm serious. There's been nights, where Ive gone to bed and got up in the middle of the night. I get an idea and stamp. Crazy huh!!!
I find my most creative times start about an hour after I get up -- and since I work 11 p to 7 a my 'morning' is about supper time!! lol Then on the weekends I sometimes just keep in my work routine/sleeping routine and I spend the night in my creative space quietly stampin' away too
