You know I am never impressed with the mini catties at first. But then I see cards on SCS, blogs and my demo's house and always end up liking so much -- too much. What I need to do not order an item as I see ones I like. I need to wait till my order reaches $150. I "nickel and dime" it and I miss the opportunity for the hostess stuff.
I'm hoping it's 44 pages of stamps and papers that are totally NOT my style! I spent tons on the big catty already, I don't need anything else! I have my Christmas set for the year, bought a Halloween, don't make Thanksgiving cards... I should be safe. I can't spend more money!
;)
Oh darlin' ...
I'm sure there's lots that will be your style ... you've got your set ... but you're going to NEED accessories!
I need to have some workshops so I can afford my August 1 preorder!

So, is it against TOS for a non-demo to post the pdf for the upcoming catalog like someone did and now that post is completely gone like it never happened? I know demos can get dropped as demos once SU finds out if they decide to do anything, but how is it against TOS at SCS for a non-demo to post it? Is SCS just afraid that SU will do something legally to stop them?
i've seen the new mini and its not anything to jump of joy for! Lots of vintage stamps! The new punches are great and so are the reverse embossing plates! But that about it!

Just a hint for the next time someone posts the link and it last for a few minutes. Save it to your favorites and it will be there for your own pleasure. I do that every time a new Mini comes out and I happen upon it before it disappears!
Unfortunately I wasn't on here the "right few minutes". Oh well, I saw it yesterday through my demo. I just would have liked to see it one more time and add the items from it to my wish list. Now I'll have to wait for the slow mail to send it to me. I really wish SU would send them out sooner than the end of the month before it goes live so I can plan my life better.

I guess it is a matter of perspective and what you like. It was love at first site for me. I can honestly say that I will be ordering at least 98% of it. I am currently trying to trim the preorder list to a reasonable first order. Not an easy task. I think I love it because it is a vintage feel thru and thru and I love that look, plus there is some Tim Holtz type stuff that is great too. I was kind of bummed that there wasn't much new in the big catalog for Christmas, so I am happy to see the selection in the mini. I am not sure about the letterpress plates, will have to see what everyone does with them, but they are interesting. Also didn't think I would be interested in fabric, but love the designs and will have to try it.
Unfortunately, I only saved the pdf to my computer, so I don't have the link information. The pdf itself is over 8 MB, so the chances of being able to successfully email it to anyone is pretty poor. I would post it as a pdf but I'm sure either a mod would swoop in and delete it or they'd ban me from this site for posting it eventhough it doesn't appear to be against TOS (unless some mod would state specifically how it's against TOS). Sorry, as much as I enjoy reading some of you all's comments, I spend a lot of time in the gallery and have a ton in My Favorites and don't want to get banned.
Again, I'd really like to know why the poster's post who posted the mini link in the first place was completely deleted like it never happened instead of some type of comment from a mod stating that the link was deleted. I really hate when companies, sites, people delete the comments like they never happened. The whole "re-writing history" doesn't give me warm fuzzies about this site or any site/company that does that. It's like they have something to hide or they're afraid of something. Gives me the whole Big Brother Is Watching feel.
Funny, I don't remember the link being deleted from the last mini when it was posted. I don't know maybe it was.
The last mini was online for demos right around the time that SCS was sold, I think (if my memory is correct).
So, it could be that there's a new policy about posting mini links ... I know that SCS didn't allow new catalogue 'messy desk' photos this year.
So, if there is possibly a new policy (like no messy desk photos) can someone who's a power in charge guide the rest of us to someplace where it's written as to what's okay and what's not. That way, everyone is working off the same page and knows what they can or cannot post when it comes to SU stuff (eventhough SU doesn't own or supposedly doesn't control this site at all). With so many demos, that's a fine line here sometimes...
Interesting. I read through the entire nine pages of the TOS link (the last post at all was back in the middle of June 2010 and not too many posts or updates by mods). Funny how not much of anything in the original TOS states anything about not posting minis or catalogs early by anyone from any company, yet the most recent mini that was posted by a non-registered on SCS as a demo poster got deleted. No reason as to why the entire posting got deleted and nothing in the posted TOS stating that it might have been remotely not okay for a non-demo to post something. Gotta wonder who is in control of this site, an independant business group or SU?!
I thought I clicked on a quote, but I guess I did it wrong.
My thought is this: if you think that Big Brother is watching you on a stamping website, then maybe you need to find a different site to hang out. I hang out here because I enjoy the cameraderie, and appreciate what the moderators do to keep everything running smoothly.
I have a boss who has told people that if they don't agree with her philosophy, then maybe they need to find another place to work. That's a lot harsher, as it is a person's livelihood, but I think the analogy rings true.
I thought that was one on the great things about this site the anticipation and excitement and then everyone talking about what was in it .
And for other people in other Countries seeing what the USA and Canada have ( being in Australia ) makes us more excited to get our own.
Iv told friends how good this site is but now l am disapointed that it is watched so closely in this way, swearing and false declarations l can agree with but this mmm:confused:
