I have three children- 18 months, 5 years, and 15 years old. I try to do my stamping while the little one is napping or at night when everyone is in bed.
Sometimes I try to make some cards while the two younger kids are playing (in the same room with me) but that doesn't always work out. The baby always seems to end up playing with my stuff and my 5 year old son ends up playing with my punches.
I have 1 2yo Toddler Son and misc foster children in my home at any given time- I tend to make cards/projects during NapTime and sometimes when DH is home on the weekend I can take a timeout and play and get inky. Children around here start 1/2 day pre-schoool at age 4 in the public school system so children over 4 I can find time to play while they are at school. I tend to not craft in the evening, our home can become a madhouse in the evening and by the time all children are in bed at 8P- I am too exhausted to play and enjoy it.
When our daughter was younger (she's almost 14 now) I used to wait for my hubby to get home then take "Mommy Time." Now she is older and both she and my hubby are (mostly) self-sufficient so I have a lot more time. Well, in theory I have a lot more time. Now that she is older, I work full time and tote her to her various activities but I do squeeze in Mommy Time whenever possible!
I have a 7, 11, 12 and 14 year old. I do most of my stamping while they are in school. During the summer, I try to stamp in the morning, or when they are busy watching tv or playing xbox, or when my husband is home. Sometimes, I will a little at a time.

When my daughter and son were around 3 and 4 years old, I would just set them up with coloring books, crayons and colored paper. We would all "craft" at the same time. We they got older, they would stamp with me.
Yesterday when I was working on a swap, my 12 yr old daughter was working on a huge panit by number. I have not had company while I stamp in a long time!

I have a toddler and my husband works midnights, so my stamping time is late in the evening after they've gone to bed/work. I try to photograph my cards in the morning, sometimes with the little one rummaging through my stamp sets.
stamping? what is this stamping you're speaking of??? Unfortunately, I never seem to have a second to myself, and when I do, there always seem to be more pressing issues. Trying really hard to get back into it. I feel I've lost my mojo from lack of playing. Grumble.
I stamp in the evenings when DS is playing on the computer and DH has left for work.
On the weekends, I color or assemble things in the morning when DH is still sleeping (he works nights). No using the paper cutter or punches that make noise!
I spread my stuff out on the dining room table (no craft room for me :( ) and craft away while I have a cup of tea with Food Network on the tv.

Most of the time I can get some ink time during nap hours. There are many days that I only get 5-10min at a time, between rocking the newborn, putting him down, come down stairs, ink, he cries, I go back up stairs, repeat. I spread everything out on the dining table. So when I get a few minutes, I can swing by and cut paper and/or do some stamping. Most of the time, cards don't get completed in one sitting.
I took a long break from doing it at home when my kiddos were itty bitty. I had a group I met with at work once a week during our lunch hour, and another group that I met with once a month in the evening at somebody else's house. Sometimes I would only have time to do a little prep, and I'd use sticky notes to kind of hold everything in place until I had time to finish. Still have some of those sticky notes holding things together.
My youngest is 5 now and loves to do any type of craft with me or on her own, so now I get to craft more than I have in a long time. Just happen to be in that season of life right now...

More stamps for more people!
I have a 3 yr old, 5 yr old and an almost 10 yr old, all girls...I have a craft space and they have a playroom with a tv, so I work on stuff here and there throughout the day, but they like to come in and bug me while I am working and take as much stuff as possible out before I kick them out. They color or use craft stuff that is specifically for them sometimes, other times they play WII or computer. I used to craft at night after everybody was in bed and would be up until the early morning hours, but then I was tired and grumpy all the next day. I think here in a month or so I will have to figure out more stuff for my youngest to do, as both her sisters will be in school and she is used to at least one of them to annoy during the day.

I have an 8 month old, who haws recently discovered mobility so I don't get the time I use to. I try to do it when he's napping or playing quietly on the floor at mommies feet. Also when hubby gets home, he likes to spend time with DS, so I get an hour or so to myself.

right now my stamp room is down in the dungeon (as I like to call it), and I stamp in the evenings, but soon in the new house it will be right off of the kitchen so I have full intentions of going in the more often
I don't have any children yet, but I do work full time. I have found a balance by stamping and coloring images during the week nights, and assembling during the weekends. If I can go into the "building" stage with an actual plan (including sketch and DP I want to use) that helps A LOT!
All my kids are grown up and the baby is in College at Pensacola Christian College. My sweet hubby travels mon-fri for work so when I get home from work I grab a bite to eat and I am off to the stamp room til bed time. Every night and on weekends when I can. So I get lots of stamping time....blessings.
DD has stamped with me for several years now - she's now 8. Probably started at about 5. I got her kid's stamp pads at HL, and figured it would all wash. When we moved & I got a stamp room, I got her an old school desk on CL and she works there while I work at my desk. I'd never get to stamp at all unless she did so, too.

I have to stamp in the wee hours of the morning, closer to 1AM than to 5AM...
I used to stamp that early because my son has a sleeping disorder, but now I stamp early because my RA gives me a heck of a time later in the day. (Not complaining, just that facts...)
I also prefer to listen/watch tv while I stamp. That way, I feel like part of that show/movie is in the card I make...I know, a bit strange, but I can assure you that 90% of my Christmas Cards last year were made to Season One of Bones! LOL

I do the same thing! I can remember what I was listening to (NPR or international radio programs via 'net) or watch/listening on TV when I see my creations that were made to the 'soundtrack' as well. Cool!!
and for now, i don't stamp much at all. I have a 3.5 year old, a 1.5 year old, and a 2 month old. all boys!! and my husband works A LOT...no relief there.
So...until i get a better routine for all the boys, I don't stamp much. About once a month I made swaps for my group I attend if I can get them done. Thank Goodness for my local SU! S10 group..not only a chance to get to be around women who are not necessarily other mothers of toddlers, but also a chance to be creative (via arts and crafts) again. Whew! Sanity saver.
Oh how I love being a teacher and getting summer vacation off... My scrap room gets a lot of late-night action throughout the school-year, but during the summer it's kinda whenever.. I am, however, a night owl, and last night I was stamping till close to 2 am..

Nap time, bed time, Sesame Street and Monster Jam are my life savers for me time. And my back yard... But that requires a lot more attention than the others. 4 and 2 just aren't old enough to let run completely unsupervised. Thankfully my room looks out on the newly fenced backyard. So theoretically, I can play while they play... Theoretically... When that happens it is usually just checkin email though... quick things I can leave at the drop of a hat. I just wish I got to play more with my stuff....
Nap time for sure. Or I'll gate the youngest (3 yrs) upstairs with me and he'll play while I craft. Or he'll drag out all of my punches and make a mess as I craft. I've also turned babysitting into a "chore" for my teenager! He has to earn that cell phone!! LOL!
