I like to think that my usual card style is clean & simple.
And what style do I wish I could do...well I see so much vintge in the gallery and I wish I could make my vintage things look so good. I've tried vintage projects and they never seem to work for me.
I so agree ladies. I think I do clean and simple but I love the vintage/shabby look. I just wish I could make mine look good. I have tried and tried and it just looks horrible for me.
I've started describing my style as clean-er and simpl-er. It tends to be just a bit more than CAS, but not totally layered or with complicated techniques.
I have multiple personalities when it comes to cardmaking. I don't think I can do it all (one style I can't do -but love so much- is heavily embellished shabby vintage like Melissa Phillips) but I think I can do a bunch of styles well. I usually hover on the line between CAS and lots of layers, but I go in either direction as well. When I sit down to create I never consciously choose one style over another, but regardless of what comes out, I always create bold, bright cards with some kind of flair... So to answer your question: I have no idea! :p

I design for: Stampendous!, There She Goes, Technique Tuesday,
SRM Stickers and Deconstructed Sketches.
I lean towards CAS, but I love layers, and every card has to have ribbon. Not an overabundance of ribbon, but just enough to give it a little texture. I usually color my images with prismas and OMS. Not too many embellishments.

Clean and graphic is my sweet spot. I struggle with styles that use a lot of elements: shabby chic, vintage, and the luxe layered look are a stretch for me. The more stuff involved, the more difficult I find it to complete a well-balanced project to my satisfaction. I want to take some mixed media classes this year to expand my design boundaries. I'm hoping they'll help me incorporate more layers and elements without losing the balance I love so much.

I love ribbon too and I use it on almost every card.
Patty, I was just visiting your blog. I love your card of the snowman boarder (best boarders) It's adorable. I have the set, and I haven't used it much, but I love your card, and may just have to case it!!
I have no style. It depends on who I'm making the card for, what I'm doing with it, or how many I'm making. I used to add ribbon and distress ink to every card, now...I don't. I used to add ribbon even if it meant adding a tiny speck. I would like to learn to make CAS cards and also vintage or collage cards. I'm in the vintage swap...so I guess I better get to learning.
I haven't found a style yet as I'm new at this. What I do notice is not much bling. I love bling but don't really know how to use it and don't really own any. Sooo...i don't know..

Awe...thanks so much! I'm thrilled that you liked my card and feel free to case away . That's an older SU stamp set and you don't see it being used very often.
I wish I could do those busy, busy, busy cards with tons of layers and details and embellishments. Unfortunately, I am a bit lazy and slow (tend to get distracted easily and daydream) so my cards tend to be more simple than I'd like. And then sometimes my sister-in-law asks me for some cards and for those, I just stamp an image onto a card and colour. Or not even that; I just stamp solid images. That's such total CAS that I don't even bother to scan or photograph them. <sigh>
Also, I'm limited by what I can mail in a normal envelope, which means no buttons or bulky bows. Boo hoo.
I love to create scenes using watercolor technique and sponging. I have never been good at CAS but recently have started playing the weekly challenge and have enjoyed pusing out of my comfort zone. I love ctorina's very elegant style as well as shabby chic but I am completely terrible at both.
I don't really know what my style is. I do some CAS, but most cards have some layers, are relatively clean and tend to have minimal embellishments, but probably not quite CAS. Sounds like there are a lot of us out there. Maybe we should be Clean and Limited, or Clean and Layered (CAL)
This is a hard question! In the end . . . . I wish I could just make a nice card LOL
Your creations are beautiful - I have a 3D mental block - can't put anything together. My card style is all over the place as I try to find my "style". It changes with the seasons!
