I'm trying to think of some new quotes to put on a bulletin board, and also to use for cards, printed out on vellum. I've seen so many I like on people's signatures here so thought I'd open up the box!
Personally, my all-time favorite is: "Work like you don't need the money, Love like you've never been hurt, and Dance like no one is watching." But there are so many more! Let's hear 'em! - J.
Are you asking for sentiments or widely known/along the lines of famous type quotes?
"No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted."
"Kind words never fade."
"We've been through a lot together. . . And most of it was your fault!"
"Cheer the hell up!" (a personal favorite)
"Don't sweat the petty stuff, and don't pet the sweaty stuff!" (good with animal images)
Other than that, there are a number of quotation sites--just do a google and you'll find some very popular ones that will supply you with plenty of quotes.

Thanks, Julie. These are all good. I know about the quote sites, but there are so many out there, I thought I'd ask for some quick ones on here, vs. spending a few days going through so many (and not even knowing which ones to search on specifically). Plus, as some you've listed that are more quirky, I just couldn't get anywhere else!
You should not have posted such a wonderful post. You now have unleashed the beast.
This is the beginning of a new day
You have been given this day to use as you will.
You can waste it or use it for good.
What you do today is important because you are
exchanging a day of your life for it.
When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever;
in its place is something that you have left behind...
let it be something good.
My Favorite one... I only wish I could fit it on my tag line. so I downsized it.
Watch your thoughts,
for they become words.
Choose your words,
for they become actions.
Understand your actions,
for they become habits.
Study your habits,
for they will become your character.
Develop your character,
for it becomes your destiny.

Quality only happens when we care enough to do our very best. --

The quality of a person's life is in direct proportion
to their commitment to excellence. -- unknown
It takes courage to push yourself to places that you've never been
before...
to test your limits, to break through barriers. -- unknown
A mind once stretched by a new idea never regains it original

Desires...If you care enough for a result,
you will most certainly attain it. -- William James
We make a living by what we get; we make a life by what we give. --

Genius is the ability to reduce the complicated to the simple. --

Vision is not seeing things as they are, but as they will be. --

The one thing that remains constant is change. -- unknown
Commitment is what transforms a promise into a reality. -- unknown
It is not important where we stand,
but in what directions we are moving. -- unknown
Communication builds bridges, not walls. -- unknown
Put First Things First...
The key is not prioritize your schedule, but to schedule your
priorities.
Do the important things first - because where you are headed is more
important than how fast you are going. -- unknown
Be Proactive...
Proactive people carry their own weather with them -
whether it rains or shines makes no difference to them.
Their honor is greater than their moods. -- unknown
I warned you!!! hehe

But my new favorite might be QCbettys old signature line, I probably don't have it just right but it was something like:
If a mans speaks in the middle of a forest and there's no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?
hehehe I like it

As the mother of three kids 3 years old and under at one time in the not so distant past this one always spoke to me:
"It's been a long day with short people."
And being from the beautiful last frontier state with black velvet skies filled with stars, another of my favorites from Longfellow:
"Silently, one by one, in the infinite meadows of heaven blossomed the lovely stars, the forget-me-nots of the angels."
The forget-me-not is our state flower too
I do scrapbooking too and find a lot of favorite quotes and one liners from poetry. My favorites are Wordsworth, Coleridge, Byron, Shelley, Keats and Longfellow.
I actually have a little book with my favorite quotes written in it (and I stamped in it too of course!). Here are some of my favorites:
God may have created man before woman, but there is always a rough draft before the masterpiece.
Be mindful that happiness is not based on possessions, power or prestige, but on relationships with people you love and respect.
That which we elect to surround ourselves with becomes the museum of our soul and the archives of our experiences. - Thomas Jefferson
MONEY talks. CHOCOLATE sings.
A wild young woman can be tamed by time and circumstance but a wild old woman is untamable by any force. - unknown
Courage is fear that has said its prayers.
Imagination is the eye of the soul.
Fashion fades. Only style remains. - Coco Chanel
He is happiest who is content with least. - Socrates
You cannot escape the consequences of negative thought.
Setbacks pave the way for comebacks!
The best things in life are not things.
If you don't stand for something you will fall for everything.
The squeaky wheel may get the most oil, but it is also the first to be replaced. - Marlyn vos Savant
Money isn't everything but it's right up there with oxygen!
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and good with ketchup.
I'm a few fries short of a happy meal.
If you take any activity, any art, any discipline, any skill, take it and push it as far as it will go, push it beyond where it has ever been before, push it to the wildest edge of edges, then you force it into the realm of MAGIC. - Tom Robbins
I heard this one from Edward on Trading Spaces: Build a bridge and get over it!

Here's one I had posted above my desk when I taught 4th grade:

Guess that wasn't the best way to set a good example for my student, huh! lol
