If you're like me your tastes and styles vary according to what you're making or from week to week. What is your one go-to item that you're currently adding to your cards for a little pizazz?? Right now I'm having fun with Paper Frills..those brightly colored borders that you can add on the top or bottom of a card to give it a little something extra..I love the borders that have the adhesive right on them....I have some black and white lace ones like that...So what's your fav??
Crochet flowers or felt flowers with a button sewn in the middle. I just love this look right now. Felt for the cute cards and crochet for the vintage/elegant ones.
I am presently in love with adhesive crystals. I do a lot of nature stamping and tiny little red crystals look like little red berries. I like them with some of my edge punches. I guess as a second I love half pearls for much the same as the crystals. I feel they just give everything that "finished" look. JMHO.
I love embellishments on cards and use lots of different kinds. Currently I seem to be putting lots of buttons on the cards I'm making. I'm using them with abandon (rather than "saving/hoarding" them for something special, ha!) It feels great! I'm able to do this because I scored a bunch of cute buttons in five different colors at Michaels recently from the $1 Bin.
I also usually put something sparkly on every card I make, either stick-on rhinestones, Stickles, or sometimes just outlining parts of an image with a Sakura GellyRoll sparkly pen.

And I'm still STILL the Top Note die. Considering how much card making stuff I have, I tend to use this on about half of my cards, which is a lot considering all of the other options I have.
Lately I've been using Digi stamps almost exclusively. I have tons of rubber and clear stamps but it seems so much trouble to pull them out. With the digi images, I print and go. Nice.

I am adding the rolled handmade paper roses to everything. I love just making the little cuties while I am watching tv then just putting them onto cards in anyplace where there is too much open space...and stick pins... loving those right now!
For the last couple weeks, I'm loving printing out digi papers and using them. I found the best paper to print them - Staples brand 48lb matte brochure paper . The colours come out vibrant and just make the cards pop.
This is an interesting thread! I also was wondering what are the latest trends. Of course what people are using the most would be the latest trend. Thanks starting this thread

What do "Paper Frills" look like? I don't think I have ever seen them
Okay, I may be biased, but I can't stop using my SRM stickers on every card. I didn't care much for sticker sentiments before, but it's so much easier to slap a sticker down than to worry about correct placement/inking of a stamp!
but like I said... I'm biased. ;)

i cant get enough of my spellbinders nesties. I feel they just make my cards. I recently moved and could not locate them, I swore I would not make another card till I found them.
I use a lot of ribbon and I'm really into border punches right now. I just got into Copics, so I've been using them a lot. I think my Prismacolor Pencils are in for a looooooong vacation!!!!

It's like a ribbon or lace but it's made of paper..they come in different colors..if you Google paper frills you'll see (I'm not savvy enough to add a link). They're fun to use.

I love ribbon, buttons, brads, grommets (eyelets), embossing powder, stickles, glitter (not as much cause of the mess) and RHINESTONES! I also love my cuttlebug to make "labels" that I use for "back" frames and for texturing my layering papers.
