Being across 'the pond' from my US stamping friends I was wondering what seems to be 'new' or the 'in' thing with you this season? It seems to take us a little while to catch up here in the UK!
Well, even in the US, there seems to be a difference based on where you are (east coast vs midwest vs west coast), but lately where I am the hot things seem to be the decorative bling, copic markers, and nestabilities.
And some things are ahead over here - I can remember seeing Flower Soft a lot at least three years ago, whereas I only noticed it much on SCS last year.

It seems that our Archiver's stores are promoting a lot of the Tattered Angels products like Glimmer Mist and stencils. This also seems to follow the trend of vintage that has cycled back into vogue. Companies like 7 Gypsies also have a lot of products for the collage-y vintage style. And of course, everything retro is hip again. If your mother had it in her kitchen in the seventies (I'm thinking of the owls, the fruit wallpapers, lots of orange and olive green and mustard yellow), then it's popular in papers and accessories now! I'm also seeing a lot of pastels being used again...pale lavendars, pinks, blues and yellows.
i agree with birds, branches & owls. definitely very popular in the US right now!
also agree with some of the fun retro colors. i'm seeing a lot more olive greens, browns and bright funky yellows, oranges, pinks, etc.
I've also noticed a huge resurgence in character stamps...Magnolias, Rileys, the Pure Innocence kids, Elzybells. I think this is due, in large part, to the fabulous artists from across the pond!
oh! i meant to also say not just trees but a certain type of "trendy tree" with a basic trunk and sort of a round lollipop top. i've seen similar designs by a number of different stamp/craft companies in stamps & papers and also in a number of nice stores for baby blankets and other nursery needs.
