Jen, you are right...
(I'm pretty sure we are talking about the same company's stamps here...)

They are a type of Manga drawing...One of the sets in particular, released in April, is SUPER typical of Manga. (It is the one with the balloons behind her head. Here mouth is exaggerated, and the eyes are closed.)

My BIL is a Manga artist. And, I have to say, I LOVE the style when it is used for animals...I LOVE the bird set from that company!

I don't like big stamps. Well, it is less that I dislike them as it is that I have trouble using them.

Not into doodles (although I do like flourishes).

Nothing too cartoony, either.

No skulls, thanks.

Personally, I am not all that fond of collage-y things, or overly cutsie...lol I have very few solid images i really like, and even those take extra care to get a good image. just my .02 tho

Here are some I don't really care for:
  • Vintage, Victorian;
  • Images that look like they were hand-drawn and immediately made into a stamp. Most of them look like they all lean to one side depending on if the artist is right- or left-handed.
  • Cutesy little cupcakes with faces and other overly cute stamps;
  • Sketchy images;
  • And, yes, definitely images that are hard to cut out although I may not dislike the images themselves;
  • No heads and giant heads

And, I totally agree with Joan about the useless sentiments. Just how does one embrace her bliss?

I find images of otherwise cute little girls that have no smiles, well for lack of a better word, creepy....

Vintage stamps
Collage stamps
Any people stamps
Doodle-y stamps
Stamps that look like they were drawn with crayons
Bellas (sorry, they just seem like an eating disorder in progress)
Alphabets
Many clear stamps (they don't stamp as nicely as rubber most of the time)
Stamps that are too solid (they don't ink well for me)
Realistic looking stamps that don't look nice without colouring
Many flower stamps (there are just too many out there)
Angels.

Wow. I'm way pickier than I thought.
This is a fun thread to read.
