What is your favorite(s) Retired SU! Stamp Sets ???
Hello Fellow Stampers,
I am fairly new to SU! I was just curious what RETIRED SU! Stamp Sets are your favorite?? I am looking specifically for Stamps that work well with Kids esp. Boys. But if there is a stamp set that you just can't get enough of that is Retired I am very curious to hear about it..
One of my favorite Retired Sets is WOLF, DREAMS AND DRAGONS ETC..
Please share your favs with me!!
Thanks
Sue
Hi!
My favorite retired sets are the Ladies of Stampin' Up! Stella Stamper, Franny Farmer, Holiday Hannah, etc.
I also use Wolf (mascot to our boys' High School), Sweet Herbs, Old World Map, Hedgehogs, Penguins and the Hand Stamped By sets the most
I love Little Boys, it's a great retired set for boys. I also like Going Somewhere and Going Places, too. I love Up in the Air for all the men in my life and the retired Wolf set is one of my very favorites, too! My son is a wolf scout right now so I will get lots of use out of it when I get around to scrapbooking this year for him! Fish Frolics is a great set for both girls and boys and I think it has gone down a lot in price lately since it has been retired awhile, it isn't as cutesy as Fishy Friends, but equally useful! I don't think Pines is retired, but it is also a good set for boys! The retired Airplane set and Race Car set are great for boys, too, but I don't have them. Good luck!
I'll never part with Paint Prints, and I truly regret parting with Bear Necessities! I should probably post an ISO thread for it sometime! I sold it on ebay last summer when it didn't make the new catty, thinking that as a demo it was senseless to keep it. Now that I spend as much time as I do around here, I've come to realize that being a demo doesn't mean you can't hold on to your favorites anyway! Oh well! Life's lessons!
I have for the Love of Chocolate and it's great for almost anyone/anytime... but for scrapbooking it's got to be the dinosaur set (I don't have it) but it's on my wish list! I would also like to get one called Toy Box - and wish wish wish I had a multi sports set.

Where do I start? Snow Angels, Paint Prints, Swirl Frame Fun, On the Beach, Lil' Engine, Holiday Frame Fun, Simple Seasons, and Best Borders are all retired sets that I will never part with.

Toy Box is in the current catty - page 110, $24.95. I have it and use it all the time. A must have set for boys!

Personally, I also love Paint Prints, then there's Wildflowers? (Watering can and lots of wildflowers) and Nesting place, both good for stamping on walls and anything else that doesn't move.
For scrapbooking, definitely Crayon Alphabet and boy sets like Nuts and Bolts, Tool Time, Going Somewhere, and one called Fun on Wheels where you construct different types of tractors and trucks.

I also love these. I sold Franny and Betsy on ebay before a big move a couple of years back and I've since had to break down and buy them again. It's an illness.
Thanks to all who has responded so far..
It is great to hear everyones favorites.
I love starting threads.
Thanks to all!!
Now I must look for some of these.. LOL!!
I am addict too!!
I have more retired than current sets - so hard to choose! Probably my favorites are Paint Prints (STILL can't believe it didn't make the catty!), all the hedgie sets, and the retired sketch sets - Sketches and Seaside Sketches. Gotta love Stella too! Oh, and Button Bear! I'll stop now.

Watercolor Garden and Paint Prints. Also I might add that I really wish they didn't retire When I grow Up. Mothers Day and Fathers day, the shoes, it was just handy. Now I wish I hadn't sold it in my retirement sale.
The retired set that I use the most is probably Flower Factory. I wasn't too sure about it when I ordered it, but I use it constantly! I love to try new color combos with it. I am also loving the Paisley BG, and Filigree. I don't have many boy sets, but I can't wait to get the frog one in the spring mini!!
Watercolor Garden II and Paint Prints. I love the looks you can achieve with them.

For the Love of Chocolate here, I want to get my hands on it bad! Tool Time and Nuts and Bolts, Stella Stamper is such an awesome stamp set too! Love to see if they come out with any retired ones this year again!
