I am trying to find white brads and man it is not easy! I am also really into flourish borders - haven't found one I like yet. And ruffled ribbon. And dark brown velvet ribbon!
I could go on but I will stop. I seem most obsessed with those right now.
I'm in search of some white bookcases for my craft room. I bought one at Lowe's....which was a disaster (there was a side piece missing, the manufacturer's customer service was non-existent)...so I finally returned it to Lowe's last night. Thinking about trekking out to Ikea this weekend to what they have to offer! : )
A Bind-It-All! I really, really, really want one. But then I also want some more cartridges for my Cricut and I just put an order into SU, so it may have to wait! ;)
I am trying not to look but all the Enabling here makes it really hard ;)
Right now I am focusing on getting my space organized so I can tell what I have already!
I'm with you. I have cut myself off from shopping for awhile. I need to use what I have.

I use white embossing powder to make my own white brads. Heat the tip of the brad with your heat tool, dip it in the EP then heat again.

I am on the hunt for a way to use my cuttlebug embossing folder without buying the machine to put it in. Way too expensive IMHO. Any ideas? Apparently I'm not heavy enough to stand on it. Hardly makes an impression. Tried my dh's vice grips and that works fairly well, except for the middle of the design. Today I'm going to try and use my rolling pin (which, incidently, I hardly use for baking). Wish me well on my economical endeavours. If all else fails I go to my friends house and use her cuttlebug.

Have you seen this thread? Forums at Splitcoaststampers
There's a link to a tutorial about using a rolling pin for the cuttlebug folders.
Good luck!
Mary Ann,
Target had some new paper when I was there last, about a month ago. I noticed it comes in both 8.5 x 11, and 12 x 12, plain cardstock, textured cardstock, and vellum, each packaged individually, for a reasonable price. It seems to me there was some light blue. Maybe this would be what you are looking for. Bonnie
I'm hardly ever in search of anything, but that never seems to stop me! I don't order online (thank heavens.... gotta have self-control somewhere) so if I stay put at home, I'm OK.

Despite being in the middle of moving my craft room into a craft corner, and downsizing massively in the process, I am still looking for a few things:
-Rubber Soul animal stamps
-masculine stamps that don't involve cars or trucks or fishing or hunting. The men in my life are not into those things. What images can I look for? Any suggestions?
-modern (non-cutesy) baby stuff. Baby on the way, thus the downsizing and moving of craft stuff, but I am having a hard time 'connecting' with a lot of what's available. Maybe those quirky Rubber Soul animals will fill the void!

I'm so with you on that one. I am having a difficult time coming up with goo masc. cards using my SU stamps. The only set I am using right now is my "lovely as a tree" set.

I NEED a "you're invited" stamp as I've been asked to make some invitations. The couple are marrying abroad and having a big party on their return so normal Wedding Invite stuff won't be appropriate.
Luckily my friend is taking me to a nearby craft shop on Friday. I LOVE the shop, gorgeous stuff and superb service but it's always an expensive experience!
I WANT a Doodlebug Floral Cutting Mat and one of their matching craft knives. I know I don't need them but oh, I SO want them, it's pathetic! I have a birthday next month though so I can add them to my wish list without feeling guilty LOL!
I think all I need is the giga scalloped oval punch and I'll feel complete. Oh and more folders for my new Big Kick.
Try going to River City Rubber Works to find your MAN stamps they really have alot of different ones.
I love the "and I'll feel complete" -- I always think that if I just get one more thing, the urge to buy will go away. Whew, have I learned that I am not built that way!! LOL
Right now I am "on the hunt" for some cool new acrylics -- but I have to sell some unused stuff first.

Thorvall,
Thanks for your suggestion on River City, I have their catalog out 'on top of the pile' and need to check their website to see this month's specials. I love their sense of humor and ladies, on to the men!

I am on the hunt for a composition book with no lines so that I can make sketches & notes on projects that I want to do. The worst fear about this is that I know it is somewhere in my house. And, all the decorative papers to cover the book that one could possibly want are also here in my house. I have purchased so much to get the completion feeling, that I have forgotten which projects I wanted to do. Sigh...
The Cuttlebug. I told my 8 year old daughter that I wanted this for Mothers Day I showed her the box and made her repeat the word CUTTLEBUG at least 5 times then I gave her pop quizzes at home later in the day. What does mom want for Mothers Day? I hope I get it.

My thoughts for manly card designs: A diamond/harlequin background stamp and a simple sentiment on a tag tied with hemp or linen thread. And boy colors, of course.
