Okay I am back and I got the Cropper Hopper heavy duty work station. I figure if I am going to use a 50% off coupon I might as well use it for an expensive item! Plu I like being organized and I dislike having to dig through my paper to find the color I am looking for!. Good buy all around!
Dawn
I just came back from Mike's and I bought the Stamp-a-ma-jig. I also bought some ribbon, bright pink, black and turquoise gingham, orange polka-dotted (can't wait to use this one!) and four of the little Bobbin ribbons, red, green galore, brilliant blue, and another blue that I think will match both ballet blue and brocade blue. I was going to buy some patterned paper as well since it's on sale 6 for $1 but I had my oldest DS with me (who's not feeling well, well enough to go to 1 store but not well enough to go to school) and the aisle was so crowded I just decided I'd better get home. But I am so excited about the ribbon, I'm also going to order the gingham stuff in the SU Spring mini. I'm on a ribbon kick right now!
I found this great marker keeper. It has 3 sides with loops to hold your markers. I folds flat to store and you can prop it up when working and it stands up. It holds 72 markers. As an SU demo who is too poor to buy all the markers at once it is going to come in handy. It will hold all 48 plus all your other misc items.

Hi, Just back from mikes. It is snowing here like crazy, but the parking lot was full. Nothing like a store full of crafters looking to use a 50% off coupon. I purchased the Colorbox Petal Point Chalk Pads. Paid for my stuff, flipped a U and went back to get a second color pallet with my 40% off coupon. Of course I stood in another line for that purchase. Big Brown is due here any time with my SU order. I am doin' the happy dance today.
I braved the CROWD (holy cow, was it packed!) and picked up a Sizzix Sidekick. I've been using my friends' regular Sizzix machines at our monthly crops, but decided it would be fun to be able to make my own letters at home. I got an alphabet set for less than half of its original price off of ebay.
I didn't "need" anything but used my 50% coupon on the Joy of Card Making magazine. I'm so gald I bought it too, it has 53 card layouts throughout the magazine. I love it!
I was there this morning and spent $60! I took all of my decorative scissors on a string along and got all of the ones I didn't have. 3 for $1 is such a deal, I couldn't pass it up. I got a storage keeper for my 12x12 paper, its a hard plastic like a rubbermaid container, and it was only 3.49 with the discount. In fact I used it to carry paper home that I also bought. I wanted another container, but they only had one left.
I bought a much needed mat cutter. The shelves were a little scarce too. I still have a 40% coupon to use so most likely I will go back tomorrow afternoon and get a Xyron refill for my large Xyron.

I feel like a failure... I wandered around and couldn't find anything I really wanted to spend money on. Then I took a look at the LONG lines at checkout, turned to a lady next to me and handed her my coupon, and went home. God, do ya think I'm...."maturing"????? eek!
I purchased this small case that has 70 compartments inside to store all your tiny things...eyelets, brads, etc. I have tons of those accessories and this bag has 5 cases, each case with 14 seperate compartments in it and the coolest part it each compartment opens individually, so no dumping ALL my eyelets if I knock it over or something. The bag that they all fit in has a shoulder strap and additional pockets on the outside for storing more stuff. The bag is actually quite small and compact so it will not take up a lot of space. Originally $29.99...got it for $15 wahoo....
Then I went back in and got some more of the dollar stamps for my kids...the bins were full again, imagine that.
Also got a 12 X 12 oak frame to frame a scrapbook page! I'm excited!
I went there intending to get the tag punch with my 50% coupon but come to find out they were on sale and Mikes wont take a coupon if things are on sale. How stupid is that?! I ended up getting the punch anyway but I might take it back, its not very easy to do. But with my 50% I got the Joy of Cardmaking!
nada
they never have stuff I want on the shelves so I can find it, and heaven forbid any workers know where things are. I thinksometimes they get rid of high ticket items and sy they are sold out (I went for a Xyron one day and tehy were all out-and even said they had already checked in the back) Next day 7 or 8 of them sitting out there. Convenient
everytime I go I am more and more thankful for my SU catalog

I had to work today, but I sent my husband (who is a teacher and on spring break) to Michaels. I didn't think that he would go but he did! He knows the value of 50% off!! I got a Fiskars circle and oval cutting kit, with cutting board and guides to cut. 40$ regular price...got it for $20.
I had a hard time finding something then I desided on the grafitti alphabet for the sizzix. It shouldn't be so hard to use those coupons I couldn't waste it on a small item. Then I used the two 40% off that I had, one mikes & one JoAnns

I have one of these and LOVE LOVE LOVE it. My dh talked me into buying it. I told him I did not need it, but he thought I did. Now I am so greatful that I have it. I have one of those little round things that spins (it is actually for a TV) when I am scrapbooking, I set it up on that on my table and voila -- I can spin it around and find all the pens I am looking for. You will be so happy you got it
Well I didn't get to use my 50% off coupon and I had two of them! I was the one who's DH caught red handed and said stop don't spend a thing. Of course for good reason's we are closing on our new house on Monday and he is stressing about money. He got his paystub at work and they had shorted him $2,000. He got that cleared up and when he came home he said I could go back to Micheal's I was like the coupons aren't good anymore. I told him I was going to buy a Xryon, which was going to help me out immensly with the baby announcements I am making for my sister, he felt bad and told me I could still buy it with the 40% off coupon. So I went and got it today. I was going to get the Xryon 250 but they were out of those today, so I got the 150. The item I wanted to feed through it is just the right size. I am so in love I didn't want to have to use a glue stick on 30 baby cutouts!
I finally got my melting pot! I went back later last night and used the 40% coupon for the nonstick mat for it. I decided I had spent enough money yesterday so I gave DD my 30% coupons for today. Her boyfriend is an artist so I'm sure he can find something he needs.

I looked and looked around. Ended up getting the Jet black Stazon inkpad that everyone is talking about. I figured I would need it too. Also found those $1 stamps and was shocked to find two butterfly ones! I got them. One for me and another for a stamping friend. I also got 4 of those .74 cents 12X12 craft holders.

I think some people use them for scrapbooking, putting all the things (paper, photos, embellishments) for a page in a separate 12x12 folder. I think they'd also be good for keeping cardstock scraps separate...maybe one per color family. Or even for storing full sheets of cardstock, since they're pretty rigid plastic. They're closed on three sides, and are $2.19 (I think) regularly. My M's was sold out 1/2 hour after they opened, so I got a rain check.
