i know you're getting a lot of feedback, so not sure mine is valuable. however, the first thing i do when i'm not happy with an auction is to reread it WORD FOR WORD. sometimes, i've misunderstood the terms, and the seller actually has met what they said. it's easy to read into an auction things that you assume. i'm not saying it happened here - just a good practice for me. while i believe NIP means "NEW" and in "ORIGINAL PACKAGING", it sounds like she believes it means unused items. the brads were never used [the used ones weren't included ;)] etc. not what i would do, but i didn't sell you the box.
second, her offer to refund your money was appropriate - she's gotta have her product back to refund your money. i'm a little surprised as to why this is an issue. some seller will say "don't bother", but depending on the item, i would most likely want my product back. [be sure to take advantage of the new flat-rate boxes from the post office.] AND if you file a dispute, PayPal will require that you return the products before they'll issue a refund.
i think it's entirely inappropriate to leave feedback until after your dispute is closed. you may be surprised and she'll more than make it up to you - but once you leave negative feedback she has no incentive to 'play nice'; you've already done the worse you can.
i just went and searched ebay and think i've found the seller. if it's her, she's got 100% feedback. and the auction doesn't say anything about NIP; in fact, it doesn't say anything at all about the product status (new or used). additionally, it says "Here is a list of items that COULD be in each box".
Sounds like you got the dud of a century. Sorry about your misfortune! I always look at the feedback when I'm purchasing. I haven't had any duds from ebay yet but I don't shop on there much. The mystery stuff always makes me suspicious. I want to know what product I'm getting. The shipping seems way too high too!
When something seems too good to be true, it usually is. I would probably keep it as shipping it back would cost more. You won't be able to get your shipping back, unless this seller is feeling extemely generous. Chalk it up as a learning experience and be more careful next time.

Actually, if it's the same one I found the seller does list the condition as "new." I personally would be ashamed of myself if I sent partial sheets of stickers and used items to a paying customer, but not everyone holds themselves to the same moral/ethical standard and that's often difficult to remember. What a serious bummer.
Yes, I read word for word before complaining to the person, the items were described as new. I still think it was misleading mentioning all those brands and not getting them.
So this is what I've done so far. I contacted the seller. He/she said that since they can't be sure I will return all the items in the box because the box has been opened, that they'll refund me for the used stuff. I can't believe that I mean why would I want to keep any of that ... useless stuff??? Mom told me she didn't want me disputing with paypal, have NO idea why. She didn't explain clearly why not, something about not involving my name with strangers who might take it personal... So should I accept a few dollars worth of refund?
The seller did pay 14.81 to ship each box, but as I said that was probably all the stuffing in there.
That is so pitiful that someone would do that to you. I feel so bad for you. Anyone who thinks that sheets with stickers removed from them are NEW is not being truthful! You wouldn't expect to buy a NEW sheet of stickers from a LSS with missing stickers! And I am just laughing out loud about the "vintage" buttons. It is sad that you don't know who you can trust these days.

They already know your name and mailing address because that shows up in Paypal, so if they wanted to cause trouble on that front they could have already. I mean, it's not like they're in your town and can easily come find you or something. If your mom doesn't want you to file the dispute, then she can give you the $$ you're out for those boxes full of junk. Sorry, but my mom knows I'm a grown woman and hasn't tried to tell me what I can't do for quite a while now. ;)
