What things have you not used in your stash yet? I have some dies and stamps and also some powders that I got from Walmart years ago, that I think are like pigment powders or Burst powders, but haven't tried them yet. I also haven't tried my gelly plate yet either. I think I need to make myself a list of the things I've been meaning to use, but haven't.
What sorts of things have you not used yet?
Too many! Zig Real Brush Markers, gelly plate, make up style blending brushes, Waffle Flower media mat, Wendy Vecchi Make Art Stay-tion and lots of stamps and dies. Somehow I got so far behind in everything in my life and it's a struggle to catch up on paperwork, cleaning out closets, and all my card making.

I have a stash of stencils that I haven't used in years, some never. Pulled about five out today to use this week. It's fun to try something new now and then, even if the results end up in the trash.

I've been pretty good at passing on things I never use. The one exception is pigment powders (the shiny ones...? The official name is eluding me right now...) I saw Mindy Eggan using some to add shiny splatter to a project and am looking forward to using them this way.
Oh wow, I forgot about stencils. I have a few that need some love too! I saw that Waffle Flower media mat. Was tempting, but have resisted buying it so far.
I still have some Halloween, Christmas and other images stamped out waiting for attention. So behind on everything. Not sure if I'm going to save them for later, or go ahead and use them soon.
Ok, so I'm not the normal stamper/shopper, although there have to be others out there like this! I don't have anything that I've never used, but that's because I'm a chronic "underbuyer" (Gretchen Rubin had a chapter devoted to being an underbuyer or overbuyer in one of her books...forget which one). Neither my husband nor I enjoy shopping so we tend to use things up, wear them out, make them do, or do without and that applies to my stamp stuff, too.
However, the product it took me the longest to use after buying were Pearl-Ex Powders and I still don't use them much. Here on SCS there are fabulous tutorials for using them and that's what prompted me to pull them out several months after buying them. I find them too messy and can't get them to adhere well.

Flower soft. Used it for a make and take at a big stamping event many years ago when it first came out. It sits in drawer so far has not gone into garbage.

Oh dear .... I should not have read this enabler line!
As for my languishing, unloved items, there are lots. But the majority of them are stamps (bunches & more), a couple of stand alone dies, and a handful of stencils that grabbed my arm at a stamp show.
They say that confession is good for you, so now I'll see. ;)

That’s it! That’s the product name I couldn’t remember! Hopefully Mindy’s way sticks well… lol

FYI - Pearl Ex need Gum Arabic to stick. Perfect Pearls has a binder built in. I think Mindy uses Perfect Pearls. Simon Hurley uses them in a lot of techniques, too: https://www.youtube.com/c/Inklipse/s...rfect%20pearls

I love Flower Soft. I ordered a couple more jars a few months back. I like to use it on my coloring pages and stamp images.
Love PearlEx and Punch Boards. Use those all the time. Just bought more mica powders on Amazon.
Unloved items that need love-
WRMK Foil Quill- I love foiling but haven’t used this yet even though I want too, badly.
Cricut Maker- I have barely used it since I got it on Black Friday. I keep using my Joy.

Whew! What a relief! I feel like I am in such good company!
I have used my Make Art Stay-tion. I keep it on my craft table with a little Tim Holtz replacement white mat on it. I love the magnets for holding things still. I don't have any Pearl Ex powders, but I do have some tiny jars of powder that look similar. They were inexpensive, but I haven't used them yet.
I didn't buy any flock or flower soft. Oh snap! I forgot about my envelope punch board! Add it to the list! lol...
I had to look up what foamiran was. I don't have that, but I do have foam sheets. I haven't used my Misti corners yet, but I love my Misti, so I'm sure it's just a matter of time.
I am one of those people that want to use all my stuff. I have gotten rid of some things, but there were a few things I actually bought again. I still have my Fiskars Scrap Boss, Card Boss and my Fiskars Texture plates. I don't like to get rid of things when styles change. I just like what I like.
So far, I haven't broken down and bought the Waffle mat. I tried using a rubber plumber's gasket sheet that I had from eons ago, when they suggested using it in the cuttlebug. And it worked o.k., so I may just stick with that for reverse image stamping. I have a silicone mat, but it's too large to fit in my Misti, and it is a nice Wilson? one, so I am not cutting it up. I think I have another inexpensive one somewhere, but I put where I knew I'd remember where it was, so I will probably never find it! lol...
Silhouette Cameo...good thing I bought the dust cover.
To clarify, I've had it for years...tried to use it a couple of times but I hate it so I bought the Brother Scan 'n Cut instead.
Definitely get that gelli plate out! It’s a favorite tool of mine, and I could do it for hours. Hmmm, disregard the bad spelling in the title…doesn’t that just drive you batty?

Reason: Tried to fix the title, but couldn’t get it done. Oh well…

Number 1 is the Fusing tool. I got it at Tuesday Morning and thought it would be a good deal but it hasn’t come out of the pkg yet. I also have some Flowersoft and a few embossing powders in different colors that I thought I would like but haven’t used them either. I’m sure there’s some stamps and dies although I use dies quicker than stamps sometimes.
Yes, to everything folks have already listed, except the Cameo which I didn't buy. I did splurge on the Brother Scan n Cut, but I don't even see that as a splurge anymore given all it can do and the time it saves me from fussy cutting. I will also add pan pastels which I didn't see anyone else mention. For the record, I do intend to use all the things even if it doesn't happen until I retire in likely 20+ years.

Nice to be in such good company! My biggest unused stockpiles are designer paper, stamps and colored cardstock. I accepted the challenge to "smash that stash". I put myself on a spending freeze til I use at least 1/2 of the hoard.....sooooooo hard but so far holding fast. Have made over 2500 cards for Cards for soldiers (6 large priority flat rate boxes). Dedicating the money I would have used to buy new stuff to sending the flat rate boxes. Feeling pretty good about now.

Bought the cameo and sold it a month later, ever taking it out of the box. Lots of Altenew big flower multi stamp sets. Can't use them for some reason. I am trying to remember that I am a simple stamper and I DON'T NEED ALL THE FANCY STUFF! Ask me how I am doing with that.....not so great. Make Art Stay-tion which I will use now as I just saw a video on uses.....I buy things for a particular purpose and then when I go to use them, I can't find or remember what/where the idea was. I need to do the ideas immediately or write down where they are on the items I bought. I need to do better.............I do pass on unused items if I determine I can't make use of them!

Confession time...someone once said they were addicted to buying, but not using...that's me. I see someone use something and HAVE to have it...I have to put a limit on my purse strings.

So many good triggers! I need to find my flower soft and use it more. It makes a lovely accent on floral cards. And I use my envelope punchboards all of the time. I love them. The 123 larger board is great for slimline envelopes. I also have some of the other punch boards that I use occasionally. And then there are all of the stamps and dies. Sigh! I won't live long enough to use them all.
Oh! try that gelli plate! use cheap copy paper or tissue paper (harder for 1st timers rips easy)
You can play for hours making backgrounds and collage papers for cards journals or canvases.
Don't like a print let it dry and cover over it. Tons of fun and great backgrounds. Once you've played and your happy you can use cardstock, great backgrounds for cards.
Unused items : ) Oh boy! I have one or two of those...... some unseen.....
I have downloaded hundreds of SVG files to use on my SIlhouette via Make the Cut.... I lots gobs of them when my computer crashed.... but, I rarely ever pull out my SIlhouette... I have a Scan and Cut which I love to use, but still fussy cut on occasion by hand. My kids got me a Cricut Maker for Christmas...... I have turned it on and made a couple of things with it, I plan to figure out how to cut out script words on it for papercrafting.
I 'learned' stamping via Technique Junkies, so I like to create backgrounds, and use 'stuff'. So, my shelves are full of 'stuff'. I have alot of Distress stains I never use, when I do get them out, I like to create lots of backgrounds and use for future cards. And, I have a huge drawer full of stencils...some made using the SIlhouette and cut files.
-Oh, I have tons of Pan Pastels : ) I have not had the laminating machine out for foiling in a long time- maybe I will pull it out next round of creating! And, why did I buy all of that Washi tape???
So nice to know I am not alone in my collecting : )
Thanks for reminding me to WAIT!...Need to do more waiting not buying!

HannahX2...just noticed you're from Lewis Del. We lived there when the Navy was based there. Guess now the town is more a resort area...wonder what happened to the old government housing? They were brand new when we moved into them so that tells you how long ago that was. Nice chatting with you.
It's terrible how many unused items I have - gobs of stamps and dies, powders, inks, and bling like crazy. I have so much paper! That said, I see an idea and want the stamp, die, ink or bling that created that beautiful card. Need to view less and make more!

Finally gave all of my flowers oft away..except the white...good for snow

You can use the Fuse tool as a fine 'pen' tip for hot-foiling by hand. I've used it tip down for adding tiny shiny dots to the middles of flowers, for example, and for handwriting. Works a treat.

Gelatos and Perfect Pearls - never used either.
Brass stencils - have a lot, but I haven’t used them in years. They will go to the next craft store “garage sale “.
Stencils - got carried away and bought a lot, but I have never used many of them. Need to play with them.
Colored embossing powders. Who needs them? It’s much easier to use clear over colored ink. I do use white, clear, and metallic EP.
Twine! I don't know what I was thinking buying twine. It's not my style. I do use it all the time but not in my craft room. I use it for gardening. I just tied up my bamboo tree the other day with pretty twine. All my twine is in with my gardening tools.

The main thing I have that I don't use I didn't buy. I've got tons of stamped images. To save money I used to do extras when ever I went to friends houses or make and takes. I've been making cards for Smiles for Seniors and am trying to use up my stash of images.
I got flower soft from a scrapbook show years ago and used it a few time but not in awhile. The using on my colored images is a good idea.
I've asked myself this 100 times: why do I want to keep buying more craft stuff? Why do I want to buy things and not use them? Why do I want buy things that I don't even know what they're for?! In my case, it has been, and could easily become again, an addiction, just like any other. I've had ministry for this, lol, and so far it's worked for many years. Now I really only buy things I've run out of, or to fill a hole in my favourite supplies, or cheap little treats. But still—my pupils dilate, my heart rate goes up, and I breathe differently when I see a screenful of CRAFT SUPPLIES!! :o I remember back in the day (80's) I was close to hyperventilating walking into a US craft supply store after many years away! I know I was definitely shaking as I beheld the glory of the aisles and aisles of stamps and inks, embellishments, tools, and sale items! LOL! I was there for hours and I spent a fortune.

Nuvo Drops have a plop problem, lol. I have two bottles. I do like the effects but not the plop. I have the clear drops from them and the clear is so detailed and nice to work with. I think some of the Nuvo drops might have a pigment to ratio blip.
I own other “drops” from other companies and they can be problematic too.
I noticed most of my items that I didn’t use was because I didn’t like what they were intended for. Once I got out of that mindset and started using those tools my style the unloved items became my favorite.

Ooooh, someone was eavesdropping on me last night! I was standing there, holding onto a spray bottle of product, thinking, "I really shouldn't have bought this. It ended up not being useful at all. Hmmm, this would be a good topic for SCS. I wonder who else has items that, in the end, just weren't useful?"
Then I opened up my email today - et voila!
Mine is something called Pixie Dust "fine shimmer spray fixative." I think I was expecting more of a gloss or sparkle. It's exactly what it says, a fine, very subtle shimmer. The biggest problem is the nozzle doesn't spray, it is a continuous, narrow stream which quickly over-saturates paper.
Other than that, I think I'm fairly restrained. (We all have our little delusions.) LOL

Gold star for self control!!! I'm impressed. Be proud of yourself. Crafting purchases can become an addiction!!!
It's not that I don't have stamps I haven't used yet, but I will get around to them. (probably? :lolo It's the items purchased that end up not being useful at all that I give myself a demerit mark for.
