I don't like the double lined stamps...it's too busy and looks sloppy to me. I'm not a fan of the realistic stamps either but that's just not my style. I love the flowers but think there are way too many. Hmmm...I think I love everything else! Oh.....not a fan of the prices. =/

It's supposed to be a Fall/Winter Catalog, but it looks very summery and bright and cheerful to me. That's not really a bad thing, but it is not what I expected.

Not Fair! Not Fair! I WANT A CATALOG!

I don't even want to read about what's in it, 'cause I can't see it too! I'm not listening! I CAN'T HEAR YOU!

Actually, I think the kits were underpriced in the last catty, and we were spoiled!
Here is a break down one of our super demos figured out~
This is cut and pasted:

OLD KITS:
4 sheets single sided paper = $1.50
8 sheets 12x12 cardstock = $2.78
6 sheets self-adhesive die cuts = $10.61
**die cuts price is based on the price of the accents & elements in the Winter Mini, the square inches of the die cut sheets, and figuring the tins as worth $2

Cost = $12.95
Total value = $14.89
Total savings = $1.94

NEW KITS:
6 sheets double sided paper = $4.98
8 sheets 12x12 textured cardstock = $3.98
6 sheets self-adhesive die cuts = $15.96
*die cuts price is based on the price of the accents & elements in the F/W catty, the square inches of the die cut sheets, and figuring the tins as worth $2

Cost = $19.95
Total value = $24.92
Total savings = $4.97

I don't like the fact that I can't get 12x12 paper in all the colors! That really ticked me off! Too many dots and circles for me. I can't see the necessity of the little flowers and big flowers. The big and little pieces sets have flowers too!

I agree on the price of the simply scrappin' kits. Too pricey for me!

I posted almost the same sentiments in another thread! I really don't like the really simple art style (ala Amuse), and there seems to be a lot of that type. I won't buy a stamp image that I could draw myself!
And the circles!!!! What's with that?!

I hope the mini and the next catalog is more interesting to me.

I'm with you! Stamps, for me are for the art that I can't handle on my own!

I admit I was expecting to have lists and lists of things I'd have to "just say no" to...until I could afford them. But I have a very short list this time.

WAAAAY too many petals, daisies, flowers, geometric flowers, flowers in circles! Sometimes I feel like it's the same motifs recycled over and over again.

But I still love SU - just needs a shot in the arm of something super original. (Don't ask me what that is! LOL!)

My thoughts exactly. Nothing that I saw that I felt I really must have. Of course I'm dissapointed in the price increase - but I guess they have to keep up with inflation too.

A lot of the new stamp sets look like something a child would draw. I'm not really big on that type of design.

At least they didn't retire any of the regular colors this year.

I'm disappointed with the flower sets options...They didn't really bring out a new flower set that was pretty and not cute...AND what is with no coffee sets?!? Are they CRAZY or what?!? They let a kindergardener run free with the doodles and then take away our coffee! It's a SAHM's nightmare! LOL

Personally I think they missed the boat in not getting stamps that show stitches.

Not all of use a sewing machines, they should have stamps that mimic, the zip zag, straight stitch etc.

I do not like the "cutsy" stuff, my favorite was illuminations and the doodle wheel.

I am generally disappointed with the new catalog although I do like the In Colors - I'm glad that there is ribbon to match although it is pretty expensive. I like the new layout. I did buy Baroque motifs but I don't see any other new sets that grab me. The only other sets on my wish list are last year's sets that made it into the new catalog! I like some of the word sets but will have to wait to afford them. The scrapping kit's prices have gone through the roof!!

I pretty much agree with everyone here! If I were to include quotes in my reply, it would be very long indeed.

So my question is, does SU have eyes and ears on SCS, so they see the overall opinion on things, then work to do something about it?

Like the Canadian prices, for example. Absolutely ridiculous.

I agree with most of you! Too many doodles (why stamp it if you can draw it!). Too many "cutsy" stamps.
I do not like the dog set (did not like the last one either), but I have a poodle so I have to get it.
The few sets I like cost way too much!
Also once again they have no angel policy stamp that says "Handmade by" NOT "Hand stamped"! Not every card made with SU products is stamped and even if it is, often most of the work is in the cutting, layout and coloring, not the stamping! I always use a non SU "Handmade By" stamp I have and if I am giving the card as a gift I add the copyright info.
Anyway just my two cents - wow I feel better getting that off my chest!

Just did a quick glance thru the on-line catty, my thoughts are...

Nice layout
Love the In Colours
About 8 sets I would consider, + 1 background
Overall impression is good......BUT.....(there is always a BUT )

I HATE
the Canadian pricing.....HELLO SU PEOPLE....WE ARE ALMOST AT PAR to the US Dollar!!!! (Did I say that loud enough!!!!) This will definetly effect my spending with SU....and I am a spender!!!

What is up with not being able to purchase bulk packs of same colour 12x12 card stock. This makes NO sense what-so-ever (to me anyway)....Would LOVE to hear the explanation there!
