Wow, that was fast...NO Way did every set sell out. I wonder if he was slammed with so many orders that he needed to close the site to have time to re-evaluate demand and maybe up the up the amount for production. Wouldn't that be cool if this was so?:cool:

I was lucky enough to be able to purchase one last night....I almost ordered 2 "just because", but I didn't know what I would do with the second one after I got it. Dang, now I wish I had...Who knows, I might get lucky again and see if it he happens to open his website again before he goes into hiatus later this month. I'll keep watch for you! :cool:
Thanks for all the postings. I just got on and ordered the Duck, Duck Goose which must be for the wetlands? and got Sky Bound and Tea Shoppe Party as well. I think shipping was $7.00
I'm frustrated because I signed up for the e-mail alerts to know when it will open and several times I've seen it posted that he's opened but I never got an e-mail. :( Apparently I'm not supposed to have the dies I want, lol!

I, too, signed up for the alerts (probably more than once!). Like you, no notice, just find out about the site being open by accident, or by someone being kind enough to post on this thread.

I have signed up for email alerts too.... but never get notice of anything. Soooo I check the site 2x a day. :-) My last purchase was my jackpot! I think I got everything I was looking for (so far).
I usually get emails too, but these last two times nothing.
Seriously if I lived closer to Dave, I would volunteer some Of my time to get him caught up!!!!:p

I actually emailed him and asked if he had thought about maybe hiring a high school kid to help out with website issues, packaging, etc.
He politely emailed me back that he has hired help. He feels he needs to do the computer stuff himself, but he has help for everything else.
How do you guys order from Dies by Dave? I used to order on the Storenvy site, but it is not there. Then I tried from myshopify, and it is not active. Then I found an etsy store with some of the dies, but NOT the one I am interested in.
I am looking for the Retro Marquee set that matches the Marquee Messages stamp set.
Does anybody know where / how I can get this dies set?????
the link to his site is on post #316. However, it is not open now, but you can sign up for emails and he sends out notification. But, that did not happen this week.

I got my dies in the mail today! I have not played with them yet but need to figure out which of my new dies I need stamps for. ;-) I know there is a listing on here that tells which of his dies work with which stamps. Can't wait to play!

He is always sold out of everything. It's really hard to shop from empty shelves. You would think he would start stocking more. By the time I get the dies I won't be using that stamp set anymore.

Yes these are the dies I just ordered. I always receive notice that he has shipped. I got the insurance on this order. By far this has been the quickest turn around ever! Don't think that had anything to do with getting insurance, but I am glad I got everything so quick. I want to play this weekend! Spouse is out of town and son is working...

Ok, good to know. I haven't received a shipping confirmation yet but I live in Canada so he probably does international shipping at certain times. Enjoy playing with your dies!!! Can't wait to get mine.

Ouch! That is discouraging...I can understand a set showing "sold out" if you are in the website and have the item in your cart and not paid for yet, I totally can't understand just closing the site down while people are actively shopping and in the process of getting the order entered. So sorry this happened to you!

I think he is probably adding new dies. Not sure things are actually sold out...or maybe he is just sending things out and not wanting to be caught behind. Last time I ordered and things shut down, my items were sent out quickly.

Wouldn't have minded if I wasn't in the middle of placing an order. I'll just have to wait until he's back up again 🙁 and hope I still have the cash lol

As stated in many comments prior, he is a one man operation and when he sells out he shuts down the ordering page. When stock is delivered he reopens his shop. I have heard he only has one person to help out with the shipping as he does have a full time job and did not expect this kind of response to his dies.
I have emailed him three or four times in the past and always received a response from him.
If lived in TX I would volunteer my time just to help out us SCSers, but I live in IL. If anyone whats to start a go fund me page for Dave to send me down to TX to help him, I am sure he would appreciate it. ;)

I just got notification that my new dies have been shipped! So exciting. Been playing with sublime and the dies are great. There is a die for a school of fish. I still have some I want to get after this run but I think I have most of his dies now...will let you all know when I get them..
