oh and the fact that stamping brought me here to where I've met some of the best people on the planet. I've had total strangers send donations to my Avon Walk, made life long friends, learned so much about people, news, life.

Okay Victoria pretty much made me all teary with hers.
1) little monster stamps
2) Agree with Joan - how giving stampers are with their talent
3) Anything that looks like a book page or sheet music
4) Googlie eyes
5) The way Beate says "This is Beate with Splitcoaststampers" in her videos
6) Watercoloring
7) The way people are so touched by a handmade card Gesso
9) stick on rhinestones and pearls
10) the people here
Oh, there are so many things. Where should I begin? I really like sponging, scalloped circles and ovals (still), regular circles and ovals, edge punches, simple designs, embossing (still), cutting out windows, unusual folds, glitter, rhinestones, and I could go on and on ....
Several things that make me happy have been listed...the biggest being the generosity of crafters who give their time to make beautiful things and donate them, or do RAKs, or anything along those lines. I find it so refreshing to see people willing to spend their time on projects like that.
Other things I like: That DH supportes, encourages and mostly compliments my work, and even better, sometimes he buys me something for my craft area. He made my day coming home with a set of Nesties and a set of Shapeabilities after a trip.
SCS-my abilities have expanded greatly since I found this site. I love trying the new techniques and that I can be somewhat up-to-date on new products. I love the gallery, I have gotten many great ideas, especially when I needed something on a short notice.

2) Cute doggy stamps
3) Happy Paper (right now that's Echo Park for me)
4) Finding a scrap in your scrap folder that is the perfect size you need
5) Seeing your cards displayed at relatives' and friends' houses
6) Cuttlebug embossing
7) A jaw-dropping card in the gallery Winning prizes
9) Getting a good picture
10) Baja Breeze
and I have to add an eleventh...getting picked for your first Design Team!
(can I add a twelfth? The fact that SCS turns 8 ) into )
1. clean and simple cards
2. people who give a new twist to something we've seen before
3. having my mom, daughters, friends, family enjoy my cards
4. PaperTrey white cardstock, versafine onyx ink
5. punches, embossing folders, my SU! paper cutter, and ScorePal. i love having great crafting tools.
The thing that makes me the very happiest is when the picture in my head and the item that I make actually match!
Aside from that, I LOVE this site and how friendly and generous everyone is with their compliments, advice, referrals, ideas, etc.
I'm a HUGE fan of embossing (dry and heat), and have even made a couple of my own texture plates.
I love doing holiday-themed projects (any holiday)
I'm getting closer to defining what my "style" might be, which is kind of exciting...
My other favorite is when I actually have time to leave comments in the gallery instead of uploading and running - so many great cards and so much inspiration!
Oh goodness - where to start??!! Soooooo many things are on my list, so I'll just pick a few
~All of the amazing people here

I love when a card comes together EXACTLY as I pictured it in my head (which is reallyreallyreally rare ;)).
I love glitter, all forms of it. It makes me happy
I LOVE all my dies - nestabilities, Die-namics, CC Cutters, Sizzix, etc etc - just having all those options after YEARS of wanting things like that make me grin!
1) Kind people who share talent, comments, knowledge, and laughter in this wonderful hobby.
2) Cool new stamps.
3) Putting a smile on someone's face.
4) The opportunity to send handmade cards to our troops so they can have a little normal in the midst of decidedly not normal circumstances and send birthday cards to their loved ones.
5) New stuff!
6) The smell of ink in the morning.
7) The joy of making stuff. The fact that I don't have to post ugly stuff I make...no one need ever know!
9) Shiny things.
10) SCS
11) The fact that we have so much choice and variety in product and style that a one-layer CAS card and a 20-layer stunner both have a place!

My gallery - yup I finally got pics posted!
There are a lot of things that make me happy, but just to name a few:
1. having a craft project turn out just the way I imagined it.
2. having all the supplies I need for a project & knowing where I stashed them.
3. the red copic ink not bleeding over my lines when I colour.

Thanks for this thread Joan! The pet peeve thread was my pet peeve, lol! I have been in a not great mood lately and it made me sad and negative...I have plenty of pet peeves in everyday life so I try to keep them out of crafting, hahaha.
So things that make me a happy crafter:
Joan and this thread:-)
All the vintage stuff out now, loving the crochet trim and antique buttons!
Stampin Up in general
Glitter, glitter brads, rhinestones, pearls...anything sparkly!!!!
Actually coming up with something myself that I LIKE!
Getting excited when my fave bloggers have a new post or fab project or video
SCS and all my friends here! And getting to see everyone's pretty stuff.
*SCS
*PTI stamps
*My craft room
*Seeing my boss giddy with anticipation when I bring in a new batch of cards.

The stamped image printing perfectly the first time
PTI cream and white cardstock
Heat embossing
Palette inks
Worn Lipstick distress ink
Text backgrounds and accents
Silk ribbon
Getting everything lined up straight
Baker's twine & silver cording
Glimmer Mist, especially Tiger Lily
Using transparencies
1. Color. I love, love, LOVE seeing a rainbow of cardstock or ink.
2. Copics. They make me feel like a "real" artist, LOL~
3. Double faced satin ribbon. It feels nice and looks so luxurious on cards.
4. Bling. I guess I'm like a crow; always attracted to shiny things.
5. Good tools. Crooked cuts, ragged edges, etc frustrate me and this is supposed to be my relaxation, LOL~
Friends that share the same passion (okay ... obsession) and their inspiration and encouragement (many have been met in person by attending SCS Shoebox swaps)
Using ink (and sometimes paint) to make make my own background paper so whatever I use it on is "uniquely me"
Metallic/sparkly floss or thread used on shapes for Spirelli
Punches and Diecuts that save me time and frustration (much less fussy cutting)
Chocolate, coffee, Diet Coke
Finding something in my stash that perfectly coordinates with something else in my stash and I know they were purchased at least a year apart
Actually using those coordinated items from my stash
Finding THE PERFECT thing (paper, ribbon, whatever) for the idea floating in my head (thus enabling it to get out of my head to make room for the next idea)
Sending holiday cards so they arrive before the actual holiday (it happens about once every 5 years :rolleyes
My craft room and ...
My DH who is supportive in all ways (even though he calls it my craproom ... he always compliments my cards and even recognized a handmade background on a recent birthday card!)
Paper, cardstock, ribbon and ink in sufficient quantities that I don't feel restrained when trying out an idea or new technique
My LSS and other stores that make it possible to get the Paper, cardstock, ribbon and ink in sufficient quantities
The galleries and blogs that inspire and add beauty to my day
Stampin'Up
Martha Stewart Punches
80 lb paper and higher.....
My workshop girls when they say they really enjoyed the workshop and loved the cards we made.
Any compliments I get on my cards or crafts.
The friendly people here on SCS that share their craft and will help anyone who needs it.
The imagination and fabulous cards/crafts that people share just for the fun of sharing it with others....
Micro fine Ritz glitter - the colors are just fabulous....
My husband who will help me pick out stuff in the craft store and has never made a comment about me spending too much money....
The blogs where people share their lives with total strangers and also their craft.
Wow, what a great thread, and you ladies have certainly covered the bases well!
I also have to ditto having SCS as a place to come any time of day or night to share my passion for stamping has been the best. It seems you can share absolutely anything here and you're accepted......right down to your favorite books and TV shows!!! How great is that?
I enjoyed the pet peeve thread, but this one is so uplifting to read - a lovely warm fuzzy feel.
As others - I enjoy the talent shared here, whether it's my style or not. I like being wowed by a card that uses something that is NOT me.
Learning new techniques
Having a card turn out like I planned
Having a card take on a mind of its own and turn out totally differently but still good
Seeing my cards still on display a year later (our neighbour gets out last year's Christmas card as well as the current year), and people saying they keep every card I send them
I'd agree with Meg on getting a good picture!!
My DH says being creative is good + being creative means making a mess = he doesn't expect the house to be tidy, so I just keep it clean. And he's a worse paper addict than I am.
Thanks Joan for starting this. I don't actually subscribe to Paperlicious, but check it out regularly - you're certainly high on my list of entertaining blogs. Love your dialogues with Mr D.P, and your Mood When Done notes .
Love this thread!!
Here are some things that make me happy.
1. A new pad of patterned paper
2. New colors of anything - Stamp pads, distress ink, Copics
3. Julee Tillman and all the Verve Divas - Love all their creations, and they are all very generous with their comments.
4. New goodies from the postman, or UPS.
5. Comments in my gallery
6. Getting a pm from Amber in April, telling me I won Viva la Verve.
7. My dog Will putting his head on my knee when I'm stamping. (Don't forget to feed me!!!)
