I am just curious if you have a standard size that you make most of the time? I also wonder if you do, do you keep a bunch of card bases to get started when you are ready to make cards??
I usually make a standard A2 (at least I think that's what it called!) card which is just an 8.5x11 piece of paper cut in half and then folded. I don't like to keep cardbases on hand because the color depends on what type of card that I feel like making at the time. I also do different sized cards from time to time.
I, too, typically stick to 4.25 x 5.5. I don't keep card bases per se, but since each full sheet of cardstock gives me two bases, I try not to cut the second one. I usually make two cards with the same color base or I'll add the other sheet to a small stack of half sheets that I keep. I don't usually have very many at a time. And I tend to reach for those first and plan my color combo around it.

Same here. Every so often I'd do the 4.25x4.25. It's so cute at that size. When there's a challenge I'll do something different but mostly the standard or the 4.25x4.25.
I usually make my cards in an A2 size, but I really like the 4BAR size as well. That one measures 3 1/2 x 4 7/8. It's really nice for short notes and it doesn't hurt that it's a super cute size.
