For my daughter's preschool valentines, I'm doing little chinese take-out boxes. The kids are getting chocolate kisses, but I want to give the teachers something as well.
Her preschool is at a swim club, so the recipients are pretty fit and health-concious, I'm not sure that candy is the most appropriate for them.
Do you have any suggestions for what to give the adults that isn't candy? These are preschool teachers and her swimming instructors.
I don't think that being health conscious is the same as "won't eat four hershey kisses," so I'd probably still give them the candy, although it's nice that you are really putting thought into the gifts! (Also, I'm lazy like that. ;))
What about... life savers for the swim coaches? They're not terribly high in calories (are they?) and it's sort of a cute riff on what they do. Pieces of chewing gum? Sweet and yet lo-cal (and supposedly really great for cutting off cravings.)
What about looking up some of those survival kits (penny for your thoughts, a rubber band to remind you to be flexible, etc.) that you could put in the little box?
Or what about those little water bottle decorations where you can slip in a thing of drink mix and put it over the bottle? If they are health conscious I bet they chug tons of water!
Chocolate is a health food!! ;) It's good for the mind and soul!! Although I can see your dilema. Maybe some Dove pieces for the teachers? A little more than a kiss. ;)

ITA. LOL!
Sorry, Krystie--I like chocolate so I haven't got a better suggestion. LOL!

and I agree-I don't think *small* amounts of choc are too bad-
Oh, crikey, yeah. It would be a toss up for me between dark chocolate and a Starbucks gift card.
Would a gift card even fit in the container, tho, Krystie? Of course, you could always present it a different way.
I did a totally cute gift card presentation for a Panera gc for my Mom and am kicking myself I didn't take a pic of it, but I was in a hurry to get it shipped off. I'll hafta make another one soon--I really liked it!

I think chocolates are fine too. But if the teachers are swimmers instructors too, how about a small bottle of lotion with aloa or tea tree oil to help their skin after getting out ofthe pool water? You can get 2=3 small bottles at Bed, Bath and Beyond, Target or Bath and Body Works.
