The "How Did You Start Stamping?" thread got me curious. I was interested by Happy Hearts, but completely hooked by Roses in Winter. Was there a set or a stamp that just did you in?

The set that got me hooked was Watercolor Garden. I cased this card almost exactly but in 2 different color schemes & thought I was REALLY hot stuff! Bee Kind by SuperStamper at Splitcoaststampers
For me it was "What's Brewin"... It was in the first SU catalog I ever looked at, and I just had to have it. The font for the sentiments looks a little dated now, but I still love that big coffee cup! Hmm, might have to pull that set out and play - it's been a few years!
Some gorgeous stained glass stamps from SU in about 1999 or 2000 - never got the stamps and always regretted it, scrapbooked til 2007, went to a SU workshop spring 2007 and haven't logged off of here yet.
Watercolor Garden!! I keep thinking I should sell that set, because I almost never reach for it anymore, but I just can't bring myself to get rid of it!! That's where the obsession started for me!!
Wonderful Wings, used to make coasters. I didn't actually buy it until it hit the retirement list, but I did borrow it from my upline multiple times before that! I still love that set and have no plans to sell it, ever.
My first set didn't do much for me (Little Hellos - I thought it would be very versatile  ) but the SAB set I got with it was fabulous - Paint Prints. I still love that set!
My first set was Bold Greetings. I ordered that set, a gold stamp pad and confetti notecards because the town I live in didn't have any thank you cards for sale and the nearest place to buy some is 90 miles away. I just stamped 'thank you' on the cards in gold - the original quick and easy card. Still have that set and use it lots!
It was called Swags, Sprays n Stuff and was a set of about 36. Unfortunately I could only afford it foam mounted, not wood. I still have it though and beleive it or not, still use certain stamps from that set.

My first set was Mini Mates (because I really wasn't getting in to this stamping thing), but the set that hooked me was Balmy Breezes. I used it to make Christmas cards the year that we were traveling in India for Christmas and still use it to this day for masculine cards and scrapping all my tropical pictures of vacations we have taken.
I fell for the fish in Little Layers I. It was in a mini and with no guarantee it'd make the catalog, I just *HAD* to buy it.... and look what happened!
This shows my stamping age... Button Bear! Still love the guy!
HEY LYNN! Me too! He was a hostess set first. And for more bounce to your buck...........well, you couldn't beat that set. I still have him and her (bow bear).

I've been stamping for under two years and of course really got going with SU. I love so many of my SU sets and can't imagine ever giving them up. I would say that what got me at my first workshop and first catalog was Touch of Nature. I knew I would love stamping with stamps like that. And I think the next set that that I realized I could always make something I'd like with would have to be Bodacious Bouquet ~ it's my "go to" set when I really need something and I have to know it's going to come through for me.
Mine was a set of kids from CTMH (can't think of the name right now but kind of like Kids at Play) I went to the CTMH demos house for scrapbooking kits and saw that and had to have it and then I started looking around at different stamp companies, found SU and was hooked on both in now time. Now there are soooo many I like that I can't even keep track.
Charming Children was my first purchase...the girls in that set look exactly like my children. That year, I made Christmas and thank you cards with this set and my family thought I had these stamps specially made.
I can't believe that no one else has mentioned Botanicals. I still use the set all the time. I went to a SU party to support a friend. I had no intention of getting into stamping. The demo did a few cards with that set and I was hooked. Now I blush if I have to tell how many stamp sets I own.
