At least you were able to make a decision what you want! I'm having trouble getting this order ready because I want much more than I can afford to get right now. I know that all the in colored items will still be there when I place another order after Christmas, but I want everything right now, darn it!
I guess I'm not getting it. Did SU add some color coding to the mini to show what will carry over?

No. She was referring to the "in colors" which are the five new colors that come in and five of the old in colors rotate out each year. What carries over is anyone's guess.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. What I meant is that I want all the in-color stuff from the big catty this time around - cardstock, ribbon, brads, ink. I want it all! So I have a very big wish list from the big catty. Then comes this mini filled with all kinds of stuff I want. So I have to decide - order from the mini and wait on all the in color stuff until after Christmas. And I don't want to wait!

Maybe some of it could end up on your Christmas list???? :-)

Maybe, but my DH isn't very good about giving me stamping items for Christmas. He doesn't like to shop, and so pretty much the only place he orders presents from is Amazon.com. So this year I've got a whole bunch of Nestabilities on my wish list from there;)

LOL, I understand...maybe if you told him you'd started a wish list with your demo then she could take care of most of it and he wouldn't have to shop at all;-) Just trying to make sure you get all that you want, it's all fantastic:-) Now, I should go play with all my goodies but really today it's just easier to sit on the couch, hehe:-)

Hi Julie! I always tell my husband to get a gift certificate from my demo...no shopping for him, and I get to pick what I want. I also do this for my mom so that she can have the fun of shopping from her catty for free!
Well, I wasn't interested in the Frostwood DP, but now that I've seen how JanTink used it on a card that's on her blog.....
Arrg...that is not the first time I've been "convinced" to buy something because of her blog. I think I just need to stay away from the computer.
I saw those cards...and to be honest they are the ONLY samples(other than convention pics) that would make me want Frostwood Lodge and Christmas Lodge....other than that it is country gone macabre as far as I'm concerned. I follow Jan pretty regularly and this is right up her alley!

Actually, I don't care that much for the stamp set, it's only the paper that tempted me. But I decided that I already have enough Christmas paper that I need to use up first. I just hope I don't regret this, because every time I've been tempted to buy something after seeing her blog, it's turned out to be a favorite set.

In the galleries under search terms "frostwood lodge"....people are doing some cute things with the dsp. Especially the stockings with the plaid paper patterns and the wood grain patterned sheets as backgrounds. Someone had the brilliant idea to turn the stocking upside down and make it a child's ride-on stick pony! Now that is thinking outside the box!

Ok, I have to admit there was so much stuff I think I was traumatized by wanting to play with it all at once! This is so much fun! Here's what I posted to the galleries...

We don't even have kids and I have a ton of laundry! What is it going to be like when we have kids, lol!
Sorry....just careless I guess when cut and pasting. Spice Cake Leaves
Laundry...the sucky gift that keeps on giving and you can't re-gift it! I'm about to be forced to wear my 22 year-old prom gown to the grocery store with flip flops since I'm out of socks!

It's going to suck! Just don't make the infamous mistake of buying too much infant clothing because they grow out of it every 4 days and return any baby clothes that you have to wait more than a few months for them to wear....when they finally get big enough to wear it, it is either out of season or the last thing on your mind. But when they get 13 like mine, they have this brief period of WANTING to do helpful things.....like the laundry!

I didn't get to order from the mini because my birthday is on Wednesday. I had instructions from my mom not to order anything...she knew how much I loved the mini. Well, I was at her house on Friday and guess who came to the door? Yep, the big brown truck. Now how hard do you think it was for me to not jump on that box? Two more days, two more days, just two more days! And I'm not even sure of what she ordered...but let me tell you, I had laid down some pretty good hints!
BTW - It's amazing how much laundry just one person can add to the household. Now that my two older sons have moved out and there's just my 14 yr old son left at home with me and my husband, it seems like very little laundry (and dinner to cook) to me. I guess it's like that children's story, if you think your house is loud, add a chicken. It's true.

Way to show some self control, lol! I would not have been able to do it!
And too funny about the chicken, hahahaha! I'll have to remember that one!!!
I clicked on Jan Tinks Blog too. I should not have done that LOL No offense Jan, your Blog is great it is just that it makes me want stamps sets that I have resisted up until then. Now I am really having a battle with myself . SU should really consider giving Jan extra commission.

I love the flowers done up with Frostwood Lodge (page 2. Anyone know how to make those? Love the paper and stockings!
You should check the general stamping boards....in hopes that some demonstrator might know how to make them. I'm sure it is being discussed over on the demo side, but if you don't have access to that you will have to hope to catch their eye.
Ok, so it goes without saying, I'm IN LOVE with Spice Cake dsp, Hand-Penned Holidays, stocking builder punch...but since playing with the punch I'm thinking why do I need stitched stockings? With the punch alone the possibilities are endless? What are you doing with your Stitched Stockings set?

They must have used a pattern, the only things listed under the supplies are: 28c Paper ornaments Frostwood Lodge Designer Series Paper; Cherry Cobbler 3/8" Quilted Satin and Early Espresso 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon; Clear Circle Rhinestone Brads; Stampin Dimensionals; Crop-A-Dile; Boho Blossoms Punch
Maybe it is an Iris fold? Or something scored on the new score board?

Although I don't know the starting shape of each piece of paper, the petals are individual cones of paper. They are attached in the center, and bunched so closely together it only looks like one solid piece of ruffled paper stacked on top of another. Can you see what I mean?
I haven't ordered from SU! since I left as a demo a long time ago, but I just HAD to have the new Out On A Limb set...that witch is SO cute! I can't wait to receive it!!
