Default What one crafty thing can you just not resist buying more of?

For me it's Nesties. I seriously need a 12 step program. Too many is never enough. I counted them last night and there are 67 sets! REALLY? Does anyone need that many?! Please, someone tell me you have more than me so I can bring my husband to the computer and say "See?! I'm not the only one! She's worse! AND she sneaks them into the house!" LOL My husband thinks I'm nuts.

I've been in a crafting slump, and that's always a dangerous thing. I shop (collect) when that happens.

So, for you, what is the one thing that you just can't stop spending money on?

Ribbon Ribbon Ribbon. I think it is an obsession I inherited from my Grandmother. Or at least I blame her.

Gosh, I have a Tim Holtz obsession. I got all of his inks, then his reinkers, now his stains etc etc. I am even taking a class on how to use his stuff next Sat. My husband is very amused about my obsession.. Besides his stuff, I loooove paper and ribbon. I could paper the Taj Mahal and have left over.

I get weak in the knees over ribbon too. It's a close 2nd to the Nesties.

Funny you should post this today when I caved in. I've been going a bit overboard on embossing folders. I made a pact with myself to use each and every one in my collection at least once before I bought another one. But then that darned Oh My Crafts goes and puts on another good deal I can't resist.

So today, there were three particular Sizzix sets I had my eye on that were on for $4.99 each plus the standard 10% off. That wasn't enough to tempt me. But, those sets I was watching ended up in a combo deal of three for $9.99. So I ordered my three, my mom ordered the same three as me plus another three besides. We'll have over 18+ embossing folders (some had 2 A2's in them and some had 1 A2 plus some smaller ones) at a cost of $2.22 per folder including shipping. That's awesome pricing by Canada's pricing.

Did we need them? No. But we're obsessed.

I also would like to have all of the Sizzix Texturz plates and have a nice little collection of those started as well. And one can never have enough ribbon either ... or nesties ... or different colors and brands of inks ... it goes on and on LOL!

For me it's rubber stamps! I have more than a sane person needs, yet I always find more that I NEED. I have many that have never even seen ink but still can convince myself that I need more.

I have tons and tons of ribbon! I have quite a few Nesties, embossing folders and a whole bunch of paper too. I have over 200 Copic markers, all the SU! markers and all the Tombow's. Oh let's be honest, I have it all! I constantly buy pop dots, I have like 20 unopened packages. That's like 6000 pop dots! I think the apocalypse will happen before I use them all. But, everytime I'm at my LSS, I put a package or two in my basket!

I also have a real weakness for pink lipgloss and lipstick. I seriously have about 15 or so shades on the go right now. I've got to STOP THE MADNESS when it comes to cosmetics. You don't even want to know what my eyeshadow collection is like.

Its the cheap $1.50 stamps at Michaels for me. For some reason I can't not buy them if there's new ones in the store. Its kind of like collecting baseball cards for me. And I always end up with a duplicate or two, which is good for my 9 yr old niece.

I counted mine the other day and I have 61 sets!!! And I want more. Luckily I can say that none were bought at full price. Gotta love 40 and 50% coupons. Or better yet, the daily deals at scrapace. They have really helped me build up my collection. My latest fave is the wonky rectangles. I love those.

Paper....but it HAS to be on sale.
Sale items, but only things I can use.

I'm pathetic...however, I usually get such great deals on everything and have extra to spare, so I sell the extra at scrappy "garage" sales and make my money back on a lot of it. I'm bagging and tagging for a sale next week and hoping to make enough for another little shopping spree...does Copic ring a bell?

I buy my Copics from the person holding the sale....so I'll just hand over my money to her.

Did I say I'm pathetic?

Mine total weakness is paper, of all sizes, shapes, designs, and especially expensive speciality paper. Close second is Clear or cling mount stamps and Embossing folders.

Defnitely paper for me. Both cardstock and patterned. I could line my entire house - floors, ceilings, walls. And the thought of running out of a color gives me the shivers.

I hear you!! I have 2 shoeboxes full of nesties, stored in CD cases..and \I know that I could make do with way less than that!

I retired not too long ago so thought for sure I would be up here using all my " stuff' and believe me there is waaaay too much stuff. But that's not the case, and I'm starting to worry too. I have spent soooo much over the years, and feel guilty all the time, and yet it's hard to get motivated to use it!!!! help!!!

top of my list has to be GLUE.

I love punches, and although I have a Big Shot, I can't go past a good punch if it is the size and shape that I want/need. lol.

Stamp Pads would have to be up there. I have probably half as many pads as I have stamps, too, and I have many, many stamps. lol

Paper, patterned and solid, all sizes. It's a sickness. I tell myself I don't need any more paper (and stamps and ink and dies, and everything else) and then I buy some more. I don't even have much time lately to make stuff, but I keep buying things. Sales always get me. I was at Xpedex checking out a few weeks ago and the cashier asked if I had a lot of invitations to make. She was shocked to hear that I was buying the paper to have on hand for when I may need it! This is why I limit my Xpedex indulgence to once per year.

I'm a pencil-holic. I have all the Inktense, Derwent Coloursoft, Prismacolor, Prismacolor watercolor pencils, Loews Cornell pencils which I'm not so crazy about and I gave away my Crayola's and another brand the name of which escapes me. I have a few Blicks, Caran's but luckily I think they're a bit expensive so I only have a few. WHY do I need all these pencils? I'm currently fighting the urge to fill in the missing Derwent Coloursoft colors, as well as their watercolor pencil colors that are missing. HELP! LOL. It's Dick Blick's fault. The prices are too good. I also am a sucker for realistic dog stamps, especially my beloved greyhounds, cat stamps, butterfly stamps and last but not least, is there another glue I can buy that I don't already have.

The one thing would have to be stamps - but there are sooo many others too, like pencils, ribbon, punches, patterned paper [especially Christmas paper], Distress inks, and those Nesties and embossing folders - sigh - I love them all!

Acrylic stamps - they just seem so 'affordable'.

I "only" have 45 sets of Nesties - but was amazed when I decided to make a spreadsheet with all my word/phrase stamps to discover that I have 1,235 of them. I'd have to make a card every single day for more than 3 years to use them all! No more!!
