We have A Joy Forever and Scattered Pictures. Both very nice shops. A Joy Forever has an awesome selection of paper and embossing folders. Their customer service is off the chart, too.
Love Sir-Stamps-A-Lot. She has more stamps than any store I have
shopped.
Once Upon a Scrapbook - Huntsville, AL
The Rubber Stamp Lady-Huntsville, AL OOPS, she closed but I liked it a lot.

While I totally love Sir-Stamps-A-Lot, I was really bummed about Rubber Stamp Lady closing. Does Once Upon a Scrapbook have much rubber stamping stuff?
There is just one independent LSS in my town (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) called All About Pictures. In addition to scrapbooking, stamping, and altering stuff, they also do custom framing. It just opened last year in January. The owners (a brother and sister) are really great about custom ordering and getting things that customers have requested. I love having them here.
I used to have a scrapbooking store 5 minutes from my house called Paper Moon (awesome name!!)...it closed...so sad...now the nearest one is 40 minutes away in another city called The Scrapping Bug. As far as stamping stores, there is one an hour away called Angela's - what a great spot!!

We also have Collage, Stamp-a-dee-do-dah, Peddler's Pack, and Paper Zone. Two other stores, which are now closed, were First Impression and The Art House.
Joan you are correct. I've been to this store for some class's (and yes it's 2 1/4 hours away for me) and it is well worth the trip!
My local scrapbook store is called Memories Galore in Richmond. Very nice store, great customer service but not ALOT into stamping. They have some things that do cross over with scrapbooking but not alot. But then again it is a scrapbooking store.

They have a good selection of stamps, clear and wood mounted but not as many as Sir-Stamps-A-Lot. They sell Inkadinkado and Outlines in wood, I believe. It is a very nice store, though. Great selection of paper, embellishments, and many other items. Their website is www.onceuponascrap.com

How could I forget Peddler's Pack!?! Wonderful place! I didn't know about Collage - I'll have to figure out where it is and check it out!
I'm lucky to have 2 near me since most of the ones I know in mid Missouri have closed. We have Remember This in my town and the Scrappin Shack about 15 miles from me.
The Scrapping Turtle......the best store
The Scrapping Bug
The Scrapbookers Dream
Forever Scrapbooks
Scrapbooks by Design
Buzy Bee Scrapbooks
Scrapolicious
Two Friends Scrapbooking
and I will be opening a Scrapbookers retreat in January called
Cozy Lands Scrapbooking Retreat
I will be able to accomodate 6 women for weekends of scrapbooking and delicious meals

My faves in San Diego area are:
Ever After
Cool Scrapbook Stuff
Scrappin' Attack
Scrapbook Your Life
Scrapbook Corner
I personally think it is better not to use the word "scrap" in any form as there are so many that start that way and it's a blur after a while. My dream store is as big as a KMart and is called Stamp and Scrap Superstore. Dream on.

Don't forget:
Yellow Bird
Stamping Details
and of course...Then Stamp Addict...but I said that one already.
Where is Ever After?? I'm not familiar with that store. I also want to open my own store...I was thinking The Stamp & Scrap Boutique.

Ever After is in Vista on Hacienda which runs parallel to the 78, Emerald exit, in the same strip mall as David's Bridal. They have been in business for about 10 years and are very committed to the scrapbook industry. I didn't realize that Yellow Bird was still in business.

It really is depressing to think about the stamping and scraping stores in southeast NC. We did have the LSS the Scrapbook Nook till a few months ago. There was the Scrap Addict till a few weeks ago. Now, all that is left is Michaels and ACMoore. :( Our JoAnn's isn't even really worth mentioning (for stamping that is). It is a Super small store not a Super Store. ;)HHEEEHE!
I wish I had more to recommend.
Another store that has a lot more stamps is Cottage Corner. They're opening in their new location at the beginning of August, be sure to check them out!
There used to be one a mile from my house (I was so spoiled!), but they closed a year and a half ago and now the next closest (Photo Scraps) is 30-ish minutes away...
There are two near me. Toyrifix - it's a toy store & a stamping store. Don't need a babysitter to go here! Then there's The Pink Tomato - smaller selection, but mostly different product lines than Toyrifix. Not bad for a small town!
My nearest LSS (although still 2 hours away) is called She Runs with Scissors. I think it's a cute name, and a great store!
I love that name...kind of brought up all kinds of things in my mind, though.
Brought a smile to my face.

We only have 2 in Memphis, that I know of, Archiver's (chain) and Eclectica (independent). I love both! All the others that I knew of in Memphis and Jackson have closed.
Karen,
Where is Sassy Scrapper in Murfreesboro? When I go visit a friend in Woodbury, I used to stop at the scrap store in the shopping center where Peebles is (can't remember the name), but it closed.

I need a stamp store combined with a Game Stop. My son always wants to go to GS but balks at me going to Eclectica! A combo, or next door to each other, would be perfect!

I think a lot of stores could be improved if they combined them...
a laundromat combined with a scrapbook store...( I only go for comforters, but still...time just sitting there!!!)
or a scrapbook store next to a drop off kids gym!
and off topic...but a laundromat/gym!
I was lucky enough that my LSS was in the same little strip mall as my kid's preschool, so for a year and a half I could drop them and go next door and play for 2 and a half hours...but she closed while I still had one year left with one of my kids there. :(
