Default What makes you put a card into your FAVES?

What is it that actually prompts you to put a card into your favorites gallery  hmmmmm......

For me I am first drawn to the layout, then the colors. I also look for something different that I haven't seen before. My upline gave me that advice, and I have found that I am alot more selective when I put something into my favorites, but have found so many great ideas as well.

One thing I am also trying to do, is leave a comment that I am putting it into my favorites. I always wonder what it is that made someone decide to use my card as a layout. Sometimes I know we are in a hurry, and don't have time, but when you post a card, are you a freak like me and look to see:

How many views you have had?
How many comments you have had?
Did someone FAVORITE it?

It's like you had a baby and you want everyone to know, and you want everyone to say how cute! Although, not gonna lie, I have had more than one dudbuddie card I have posted  one of those... seemed like a good card at the time and why the heck doesn't anyone else think so?

Also, I love looking to see who has left me comments, do I recognize their name? Steubner, Jen70, Markie's Mom, kharmagirl, Cammie, Juliehrr , you know... the celebs on this site, and the people that are always inspiring us?!!! I always feel so honored when they look at my card and leave me a comment.. WOWZA!

so... What is it that draws you to a card? Maybe we could get some good ideas in the process and be inspired by your ideas. Post a card, leave a comment, let's get this party started!

I put cards into my faves when I love everything about it usually. However, I sometimes will favorite a card when it has a different layout or color combo or creative use of embellishments that I might want to incorporate into a card of mine. Different reasons.

I put a card into my faves for future reference when I need a layout or color combo. Sometimes when I get a new set of stamps I will favorite a few from that set that inspire me!

I favorite cards that give me inspiration to use something I already have. Sometimes I get into such a rut and use some of my stamps the same ol' way every time - layout, color combos, theme, etc. So when I see a card that makes my mental light bulb turn on, I favorite it!

i usually comment on cards i am drawn to, and i usually comment on layout, colors and the embellishments, those are my 3 favorite things.
i favorite things that are my taste,my style, or awesome creativity. things that *pop* are my favorite.
everyones tastes are so different and i love to see a stamp set used in creative ways that i would never think of, gets my mojo flowing and for that i am always appreciative, and they always get a comment.

I mostly 'favourite' cards that use a stamp set that I've recently bought or am on the fence about buying. I also favourite them for layout/colour ideas AND I love looking for cards that use an embellishment in a new way I'd never thought of!

I put a card in my "favorites" for a lot of reasons. An embellishment is used in a way I wouldn't have thought of. The card looks simple, but still very impressive, color combo, layout. Sometimes I know I will never CASE it, but the card is so pretty I just like looking at it.

I favorite a card if it uses a stamp set I own. I also look for cards that are basically my style. If it uses a stamp set I don't have but I like the card, I favorite that one thinking I'll find a stamp set I can use in its place.

The clarity of the picture and the technique used. I am pretty good at layout design, I just like learning new techniques!!

I usually look in the gallery for ideas of stamp sets I am wanting to use. And then if a design idea pops out at me I will favorite it to make it easy to find again.

D. All of the above

Sometimes, I will favorite a card just because I have the same set. Or because I really like the layout. I may favorite a card because I like the color combo or the embellishments they used.

In other words, I favorite it because I like it!

Default Re why Favorite

I am not at all good at design but I can copy very well. So I peruse the gallery looking for ideas for sets I already have, and will Favorite cards that really stand out that I want to CASE. I then print out a copy of the card and supply info, and keep in a binder.

I also look at sets that I am thinking about buying to see how others have used them, to help me decide if I will also use that set. I will Favorite anything that really catches my eye, can always use different sets for the same idea.

So basically -- I Favorite something because I think it's beautiful/funny/catchy/fitting and want to copy it!

To be favorited, I'm usually looking at the stamp set used, then layout and color - also how "easy" it might be to get the same kind of effect because I'm more of a beginner. I refer often to my faves, and often take bits & pieces from different cards. I always leave some sort of comment for the cards I've favorited.

For me, it's not a matter of the elements or techniques involved in making the card, it's just the "omg I LOVE that card!!" factor.

I put cards into my favs that I just love. I try and pick cards that I already own the stamp set so I don't buy more things LOL!

Also layout, colors, cool technique I want to try, or I just put it in there so I can always find it to look at!

I also try and always leave a comment that I put it into my favs!

I think the colors attract me first, then the layout. I also tend to look more at a card with a set that I have or plan on getting. And as se_stamper said, the OMG factor.
