I think the card, poker, dice thing is a great idea. Lots of people seem to go to Vegas, so that would be great in scrapbooking. Also, I would love a set of elegant crosses like maybe in the style of Elegant Ornaments and not so plain like the one in the present catalog. I was sooo disappointed in the Easter stamp set in the new mini catalog. Easter is all about Christ and there was nothing!!!!

Being a military mom, I would like to see a military style stamp set that could be used for scrapbooking pictures from places like Afghanistan and Iraq. It would need to be generic enough to fit with all branches of the military. Just my two cents.

I'd agree with Heidi, I would LOVE more Christmas things. I also would like more Christmas Scrappin sets. I don't particularly care for the Sparkling Holiday Scrappin' Kit they have. Don't care for the colors in that kit. I would also like new papers for the holidays.

More men stamps would be great and I have a regular customer who would love to see something for "go carts" which her son is heavily involved in.

Default new stamp set ideas

I would love it if SU gave you the option of buying stamps without having to purchase the wood blocks like The Angel Company does.

I am short on storage space and hate having to sell a set to make room for a new one.

I also like UM on acrylics for 2 step stamping without a positioner.

There's also the environmental aspect of not cutting down so many trees and wood is getting in short supply since hard woods take so long to grow.

I agree with everyone who said they want more sayings for the inside of cards. The inside and out ones are great.

What about front and back stamps too like Artistic Impressions has?

Really really great ideas!!!! I have had customers ask and ask and ask again for a Cheerleading set and something with cards, for poker and bunco players.
I myself really want more religious Easter and Christmas sets. Especially Easter.

I love the idea of a sluething set. You could scrapbook a hike with that, and so many of my kids birthdays revolve around some kind of hunt. Tonight having a murder mystrey party.

Would also like some new set with musical instruments

so many ideas.... not enough stamps.... or maybe not enough money : )

You all need to send your WONDERFUL ideas to Stampin Up's website. I just emailed them my suggestions (inside sentiments for cards, among others) the other day. If we smother them with the same requests, they just might listen to us! Seems like most of us want more sayings for the insides of cards and I would think that, of all the requests, would be so easy for them to do and a guaranteed profit.

I would love to see...
- another whole set of flexible phrases
-a vintage coffee and tea set with tea labels and old cups and coffee crates
-a new asian set with takeout containers, chopsticks, sushi rolls, and bring back the fortune cookie!
-more masculine sets that are generic like "Ferns" was. It's too hard to use old car or train sets if they're not into that
-and I agree, a pregnancy set
-a vegetable set in the same style as Sun-Ripened
-vintage flapper/roaring 20's type set
-a waterfall set would be fun to color and nice for masculine cards. It could be along the Coast to Coast set style.

Does anybody know when they're done designing for the upcoming year's catty? It's probably too late to get any of these suggestions in Too bad because we've got some good ones!

Thanks for the fun thread...

I would like to see some sets with funny sayings.

For my Jewish friends and customers: I would like to see a non-Hannukah Jewish set. Like one with a Shofar, a challah, a Torah, a kiddush cup, a Tallis etc. This would be good for Bar/Bat Mitvah, High Holiday Cards, Passover and scrapbooks.

I agree: more flexible phrases.

My thanks also for the fun thread.

I also sent them an e-mail before starting this thread.I was hoping others would do the same. But not sure if they have already started on the new catalog or not yet.My guess is they must start on it once the other one is already complete.

I do hope that a lot of these will make it in there.Sounds like there are already some great minds at work here.

I would like to see a t-ball set or a young players baseball set and a soccer set. It would have to include a boy and a girl player. I have a five year old daughter that plays t-ball and will soon be playing lobb ball. She also plays soccer. It's hard to find baseball and soccer themed stamp sets with girls in them. That goes for Basketball, hockey, and other related sports. Also, a new cheerleading set would be nice! My daughter is in cheerleading. A different gymnastics set that included boys would be nice. I scrapbook, so I could use these types of sets to preserve my memories.

I would like to see everyday flexible phrases in different fonts. Like an elegant one, or a whimsical font, or a vintage font.

Amen to the Tool set! I like the soccer set idea, computers, too. I have such a hard time making cards for my brother....we need masculine things.

Also....I know I put this on some thread....I need a lego stamp!

Default this isn't a stamp set, but...

i'd like to see it in the catalog anyway-

different sized tag-shaped punches so that they can be layered (like the square and circle punches that we have now). I'd like to be able to make tags out of any and all of our cardstock instead of just what comes in the tag sheet packages.

just a thought...

oh, and i already emailed ds to ask for a charcoal colored cardstock (i suggested metallic). i think it would look awesome with the pinks and blues and greens that we have.

I'd like to see more sets with horses -- realistic ones (like bareback) and maybe something cutsie with kids and ponies. NOT the western/Santa Fe look.

Something with wine bottles, glasses would be good, too. Vintage and non-vintage.

More Easter sets. Definitely more Easter sets.

Can't think of what else, but I'm sure that it'll come to me!

I agree with more religious Christmas and Easter stamps.

I would love to see a bubble background to go with Fishy Friends and a snowflake background.

I would like a gingham background too.

I also agree with inside the card stamps.

Default Stamp set ideas

I would like to see smaller alphabets. More simple images that can be used for all kinds of things like the trees. Also if possible, have a set that includes different languages like French and Spanish.

Default I know it's been a few days since this thread started....BUT

I would really like to see an ADOPTION stamp set. I wanted to make our adoption announcements for our baby girl from China, but the current ones in the SU catalog wouldn't work. I like them, they just didn't fit for an adopted 1-year-old from China. It wouldn't have to be a Chinese adoption set (but that would be nice ) but the wording just needs to be appropriate for adopted babies/children.
Thanks,
Paula

Bunko and Booze!

I love the wine/martini/margarita glass idea and bring on the dice! I am in a bunko group and making invites when I host would sooooo much easier with a bunko set!

And a cute baby/prego set. Maybe a fun girlie set that isn't too tiny. It seems like all the purse and shoe stamps are little.

I would like to see another "You're Invited" stamp, like the retired Dot Invitation.

Also, more two-step stampin' sets, like Terrific Tulips.

I would like to see lots more boy stuff.

It is easy with girls, flowers and everything pretty works. I would like to find nice versatile stuff for my little boys to do invitations and scrapbooking with. Not just sport stuff, because they aren't into that, just nice boyish versatile stuff.

Also someone suggested a baptism set, that would be great.

I vote for the Tag Punches also.....that would be very nice!

Pregnancy, Lingerie, a better wedding set(however, I think that's hard to appeal to everyone's tastes---it walks a fine line between too cheesy and too old fashioned)

And I totally agree with the previous poster who said about the BOY stuff. My little guy is just 1 year old, and I know eventually he will do that whole sport thing, but right now there is not much in there that i can use when I do my scrapbook for him!

I do like the idea of the cocktail glasses....cute.

I would also like to see Scrapbooks in different colors....I like the decorated ones, but I'd like to be able to choose my color. Maybe Red, Green(not neon), pink etc....

MORE GINGHAM....I can't get enough of that stuff!

I would love for SU! to bring back some retired sets that I LOVE and can't believe are retired, including:

- Meow Meow / Bow Wow (I refuse to buy any pet sets from the current catty because they just don't compare). Although, the cat in the Spring Mini is very cool !!!
- Old Fashioned Christmas (I LOVE the detail of this set)
- Sea Life (again, detail and realism - perfect for Sea World / aquarium pics)
- Happy Healing (the best get well set I've seen)

I have to think about my wish list, but will be back soon with those themes !!!

I just thought of another set that is retired and that I don't own, but would LOVE to get - Stella Stamper !!!

Here is the wish list my DH and I came up with when I replied to SU!'s new demo e-mail survey back in September:

- Veterans or the people in the Services – Army, Navy, Airforce, Marines and even cops, fire fighters, nurses, etc. He thought that one set could contain all of them and also the American Flag.
- More sports because his 2 favorites – tennis and boxing – aren’t even featured. Maybe there can be an add on to the Sporting Goods stamp set that could include a Tennis Ball, Tennis Racket, Boxing Gloves and possibly other types of sports equipment that may be missing. I would like for the sports sets to feature both men and women (for example, my sister plays softball, but there is only a baseball set with men, no women). MY DH WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE NEW SETS IN THE SPRING MINI !!!
- Fishing (not only fly fishing) and boating (canoes, pontoon, inflatable).
- For teenagers / young adults – remote control items like Mini-Z Remote Control Cars, RC Planes, Electric Trains, Boats, Monster Trucks, Video Games, Computers, Sports Cars (not only convertibles).
- Sci-Fi (along the lines of Star Wars, Star Trek, Aliens, etc.)
- Amusement Park Rides – more along the lines of adult rides, since there is already a set geared toward children. We already have the Carnival jumbo wheel, but that just isn’t enough for coaster lovers !!! Something that features a wooden style coaster and one of the newer style steel coasters, a power tower, a haunted house and of course a jumbo ferris wheel.

I know it is a lot to ask, but hey it never hurts to wish !!!

I would also like to see more masculine stamps. Also more scenic stamps, Asain style, like the one mentioned earlier would be nice. More elegant and less cutsie stuff. I also agree with the realistic animal stamps, and maybe some aircraft type stamps. Some nice patriotic ones would be nice too .

Everyone has such awesome ideas for new sets. There were so many listed that I would have never thought of but now think, "Yeah, that would be great!" Wouldn't it be fabulous if everyone's wish lists were granted. I truly can't wait to see what new sets come out this year.

I can never get enough flowers! I'd like to see one along the lines of Heaven Scent, but with larger images. I'd also like to see a toy set with larger, more realistic images than those in Toy Box. I'd like a nice cat set, too. I haven't cared for any that they've had so far. The tools are a great idea, too.

WoW!
Everyone has had some really great ideas!

I particularly like the cocktail glasses idea.

The layering tags punches

and the tool ideas...but not cutesy tools.

I also wish they would add

-A nice "Irish" set.
TAC has a SUPER one! It has a claddagh, shamrock, celtic knot...etc...but not cutesy. NO LEPRECHAUNS!

-I would like something with shoes, hats handbags....but just solid image...almost sillouette stamps...not the cutesy one like steppin style or whatever we do have.

-As always I wish we could buy the designer paper seperate, as I always love one or 2 styles from it...but not the others.

hmmmmmm...thats all I can add off the top of my head. I am going to email DS now.

Yes I definatly agree with a soccer set. My Dh coaches soccer & my boys play it. That would be awesome.

Realistic ocean, seashore stuff.

Scuba/dive would be awesome! Definately more masculine things. Father/Son set.

More religous set's.

More two sep like Tulips or WCG

WHAT ABOUT A SET OF STAMPS THAT HAVE TO DO WITH STAMPING, SCRAPPING, CRAFTING!
