Stampin' Ho Here too! I used to be strickly SU...but then I discovered that there was rubber out there (and acrylics too) that I liked...so I have really expanded my collection.

Stampin' slut, rubbah ho......... you guys crack me up. I buy stamps from lots of different companies, whatever I like. Let's just say I "date around", but SU is my main squeeze.
If I like the stamp I buy it. I have many different companies but when it comes to stamping or scrapbooking-You'll have to hold me back from buying:-) I love it all!!

I pay attention to a company's Angel Policy. If the company has a very restrictive policy (i.e., setting a limit on how many items you can sell that are made with a particular stamp), I won't buy the stamp. I don't care how much I like the image, there are so many stamp companies out there now, I can find something similar from a company with a more customer-friendly policy.
And I don't even sell cards - I just don't like the idea that a company wants to control what I'm going to do with its product long after I have paid my money for that product.

I used to purchase whenever and where ever, but it got old real fast when I couldn't find anything to coordinate with them, the images were inferior, the rubber and foam was cheap, and they were mounted crookedly.
I learned my lesson. I only buy SU now with the exception of a Scripture verse or two. And those are frustrating to use.

I guess I'm in the majority on this one! If I like it, I'll buy it. Of course, I have gotten a few "bad" stamps by doing that but on the whole I've done okay. Of course, the largest of my "stash" is SU, with CTMH second and TAC quickly becoming a third.
I would hang my head in shame but I guess I don't really care...I AM A SLUT!!! A stampin' slut, that is!! But you know what? I am ok with who I am as a person! :-D
I just gotta have what I love....guess that makes me a ____ too! The trouble is I like a lot of different styles! Girls gotta have variety too....not the same old "routine"...hehehe!
I started out going to stamp stores and buying without paying attention to brand. Found that it was a better deal buying sets from SU. Also like the case the sets come in.
Now I'm more picky about buying non SU.
Ho here! Started out with SU only. SCS gallery introduced me to all the other companies with great stuff also. Can't leave out local craft and hobby stores. Man.....I get around
..... slut. Man, who woulda thought so many of us here were. lol. Okay, I guess I woulda guessed it. There are just SO many companies now that produce good quality, awesome images. Why descriminate?
At last count, I had stamps from 27 different companies, and still counting. In fact, it's only been in recent years (past two) that I started using SU stamps at all! I have always been a girl that "get's around" when it comes to stamps! No shame here!
The absolute truth... I do love SU. Their stamps are really wonderful - in ways that others do not match. BUT... I have House Mouse, some Penny Black, Hero Arts, and treasures I've acquired in different places.
And, I have branched out to unmounted stamps.. started with a few from TAC, picked up some from MFT.... then the epiphany of Papertrey Ink, Kitchen Sink Stamps, Crafty Secrets.... wow! So many gorgeous styles and designs! And stamping with clear stamps is so much fun.
And now... these Elzybells (wood mounted though!) -- they are adorable.
But there are times when only SU will do. I am excited about their next new catalog and there are retired sets that I will never ever part with.
It's all about whether the design speaks to me - it's art!! If it strikes a creative spark in me or represents something that I hold dear... well then, I'm a goner!
And I have to add that the gorgeous artwork in the Splitcoast galleries is a huge inspiration and fellow Splitcoasters have introduced me to many of the non-SU stamps I've come to love! Thank you Stampers!!
