Default What kind of envelope do you use for

these beautiful cards made with these huge flowers/ribbon etc. on? They are too big for the the normal envelopes. Or do you not put them in envelopes? As I'm writing this - maybe wrap them in tissue paper? What do you use?
Thanks

I think I would reserve the big ones for hand giving and not put it in an envelope. Or if I was going to mail something like that, use a padded envelope.

I usually make a box for the card to go in.

I also send these in boxes with gifts or hand deliver! If they're going in the mail, in just an envie, I try to make them flatter, lol!

As with the above posters, I would normally make a box and either include them in a gift or hand-deliver. Just occasionally for a special occasion I will make a box and mail them, but most of my cards tend to fit a regular envelope.

I also try to "save" the really dimensional cards for giving in person, not mailing. I've used various envelope tutorials to make larger envelopes to fit them, and a few times actually made a little flat box.

I made one really fancy card with lots of layered flowers using the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die. I wrapped the card in tissue paper and put it in a small gift bag for presenting in person.

I don't make cards like this on a regular basis, but I have a daughter-in-law that loves elaborate fancy cards and has saved every one I've given her. She is definitely on my "fancy, a lot of trouble to make" list because she is so appreciative.

I make my own evelope-boxes, where you have 1/4 inch sides on the envelope so it can hold more. Once I even increased to 1/2 inch for a thick card!
For mailing, I put them in clear boxes in bubble envelopes. The bubble envelopes were clear too, so it looked cool.
