Well, I finally made the choice to drop my demonstratorship with Stampin' Up!. It's been a fun ride, but after doing a vendor fair a couple weeks ago, I realized that people (around here anyway) are much more interested in purses, jewelry, food, and flameless candles. *Sigh*
Soooo, in light of that decision, I've become aware that I've missed a lot of what was going on outside the SU bubble...my neighbor showed me a new MS punch that lets you punch anywhere on the paper. That's so awesome!
So, fill me in, Ladies! What super awesome thing has come out in the past year or so that I simply need to know about?

I was also a SU demonstrator for about seven years. Throughly enjoyed it and was able to build my supplies and feed my addiction, but not having vender requirements is so liberating and sparks much more creativity. I LOVE going to my stamping space and just playing with various products, regardless of where or when I bought them. I just got my big shot last month (had been borrowing my mom's big kick) and I am in love with a lot of the cuttlebug embossing folders (a distressed brick, bird call and a leafy branch one specifically). Being able to get those folders from Joann's for $2.99 online makes it even more fun. Also, I'm in the process of unmounting all my wooden mounted stamps (just using the Aleene's tack it Over and Over for now).
Enjoy the new freedom to find products and techniques that are so much fun. It's been so nice to be unrestricted!
I agree about the cuttlebug folders but also, nestabilities!!! I use them on about 3/4 of my cards now. If you live near an Archiver's they have some beautiful patterned paper. Adhesive rhinestones, funky paper flowers...so much out there. Have fun!

I was exclusive SU for awhile and loved it..Still love the stuff. But now I try lots of different mediums and have a blast. My obsession is Tim Holtz and his line. I am having a blast distressing and staining and crackle paint etc. I also have been using Claudine Hellmuth stamps and her acrylic paint to stamp and love it too. Honestly, I just see what "grabs" me and try it...if I like it (Sound like a Prego spaghetti ad) then I go back for more. I use my SU supplies (have a ton) with my new stuff and it is a blast.
There's a definite Copic craze going on (and I haven't been immune to it...LOL).
New Cricut machines (the Imagine and the Expression 2) and new cartridges; new cartridges seem to come out everyday.
Just a word about Le Plume markers...those are waterbased, like SU markers are, so they do NOT blend. And even though there is a blender pen available for them it doesn't work. Not for me anyway.
I dropped a couple months ago but my sweet friend lets me log in as her to place my orders and see what is going on...I wanted to start my web business. I am very happy where I am right now...I cant say that I miss it that much as I still get the benefits.
Copics
cuttlebug and many other embossing folders...great variety out there.
Oh and the nesties, and all the other dies now...wow.
Papers...there are so many great companies...one of my new favs is Authentique.
And so many stamp companies to sample....recent favs are Sweet and Sassy, Flourishes and Our Daily Bread....
So much for you to do with your $$$$.
Blessings.

stampin up sells such a wide range of products that I don't think you've missed that much. . I think the biggest hole are
Ranger Distress Inks. There is nothing else in the market like these.
If you like to color, Alcohol markers like Copics. pricey though

I didn't know Marvy came out with alcohol markers, thanks for that info, Cathy H. I have SU and Le Plume (waterbased) markers and I like both. I'll have to check out Marvy's alcohol markers. Copics sure are pricey but they are wonderful!
Oh honey, you're gonna have so much fun shopping. I quit about a year ago and am having a blast with Copic Markers. I also use Nestabilities or Die-Namics (by My Favorite Things) on just about every card. Ah, and mini paper packs from October Afternoon, My Mind's Eye, Cosmo Cricket . . . Have fun! If you're into the matchy-matchy thing, October Afternoon is also selling embellishments, stamps and Fabrics to go with their newest paper lines. Be still my heart.
Thanks ladies - I am already feeling the freedom - got some halloween DSP by Die Cuts with a View and K&Company and made the cutest antibacterial gel holders (using the antibac from Bath and Body that i got on sale 8 for five bucks!) and some lip blam holders....they were adorable. I think that i'll always use SU cardstock - i'm just spoiled by it. Can't wait to use all the new punches, dies, embossing folders...I have a cricut that i've been ignoring a little bit...no more!
There's a scrapbooking store in my hometown that i feel like i can actually buy stuff at now without thinking i'm never going to use this stuff...so i can't wait. Oh, and LMac - i have always loved Cosmo Cricket paper...so happy to be able to use it fully again!!
