Question What Happens when you...

report a post violation?
Okay I have had a few people ask so:

If you see a post that is a violation of the TOS in the forums, you click on the red triangle with a ! inside of it.
This "reports" the thread. You do not need to personally contact any of the moderators.
If more than one posting in a thread is a violation, there is no need to submit each individual post-the entire thread is sent with the link.

So what happens then?

The post is reported and the thread as well as your comment(s) are sent to each moderator of the site (you can't pick who to send it to or not-it goes out to everyone).
If we feel the thread needs do be locked. etc., we will make that decision.
You will not be contacted back about the decision made, nor will we announce if any action has been taken against the posters in question.
(so don't bother asking cuz we're not talking!! :p LOL)

a reminder from the TOS that might also help-the best thing to do if you disagree with others is to ignore them. ;)

Hope that clarifies some.

Just wanted to add that I think you guys are doing an awesome job with the transition.

I was telling my husband that we need to re-do our finances on Quicken and start a new file, because our history goes back 10 years. I've yet to do it because I don't want to have to re-do all the accounts and scheduled transactions. It's really nothing compared to what you've guys have done here!

Thanks for making this a better place.
