hi everyone,iv just joined today been a crafter for many years, thought it'd be nice to speak to other crafters round the world about an array of subjects.i read the article, how schools are failing boys,in most cases it could be the failure of the childs willingness to learn or our failure of being to pushy or not pushy enough,it could be the case of our own experiences of what our child may not be learning, yet different to another student with different capabilities.we all have our own limits and capabilities,i have 4 so very different children,girl-13 boy-12 girl and boy-11,i see the many differences between them.id love them 2 be great at everything,i know that isnt possible, what i do is help them excell in areas they are great in,help them along in areas they are good in and allow them to manage in areas they may struggle in.i find this helps us all relax and not have to high an expectation of each other as they welcome the help from me rather than telling me they cant and wont do it.i hope i dont sound like an analyst and i hope i havnt put this on the wrong site if either is true im sorry.anyway i have lots of tips for arts and craft ill put up here in hope im giving you all something new 2 try.
Hello
I have a problem as to it may be a very simple one but I am having a hard time with it. How would I post pictures etc to show the project and How I did it? Please reply to me Carolanndavis at [email protected] Please put in the subject area put the word Stampin So that I will look at it and not think its some joke. Thanks Carol
I just joined about a week ago and have checking out the wonderful galleries. I can't go to bed until I have checked the new cards posted in the last 24 hours. Boy, am I addicted!! I also love checking all the resources and techniques. Pushes my cards to a higher level and gives me lots of wonderful ideas. I have been making cards for about nine months and just love this site for all the sharing and ideas.
I just have one question right now and probably more as time goes by. i am wondering which gallery I should post my cards too. The gallery where all the posts are in the last 24 hours etc... or to the specfic gallery for the stamp or technique used.
I posted one card last night and am wondering if I put it in the right place. I put in the gallery for that stamp.
OK, I know there are no dumb questions, but this one probably is because the answer is probably sooooo obvious that I will beat my head on my computer desk....I've been using computers and jumping to forums here and there, particularly genealogy but I have never understood the different type threads and how to follow one. Everytime I think I'm following a thread related to what I'm reading about it I end up at a new topic. Please explain this mysterious trail to me. By the way I just signed up today so no telling where my initial post is. No pun intended, but it was about the new Snapload Expandable Binders I saw advertised on QVC. Thanks for any help. Now my problem is...how will I find your reply? I can't find the replies to any of the questions or comments people have made either. Thanks for any help...Laura
I go to: start here, and then new thread to ask my questions about how to or what to do. Am I doing it in the right place?
Thanks doesn't begin to say how I appreciate all you all do for us. I'm new on here and can't wait to learn it all. Thanks for keeping SCS in order and running smoothly.

Sounds like you are doing just fine!! Welcome to SCS!
I am probably the only person who had to print this list so that I can be sure I am posting to the right group. (I mean it did take me a full year to find this site again after signing up so long ago!!!)
Sorry...Me too, I'll pay better attention next time. Thanks for all the extra work you do to fix our mistakes. :o
:( I just got caught up in the Husband Matt thread and looked at someone posting that said their husband stamped, he had lady bugs, whamo! I remembered I needed a stamp so I posted, WRONG SPOT! Sorry guys. I'll pay more attention...
How do I start a thread? Just like this? Also, how do I get a picture on the left with my name?
Thank you - I love this site and I post quick replies all the time...just don't know how to go about starting my own thread!
1. Crop one of your pics to a maximum of 80 pixels X 80 pixels. The closer to an exact square, the more accurately it will appear.
2. Save that in jpeg format on your computer.
3. Click on you name at the top of this screen.
4. Left column - Click on 'Edit Avatar'.
5. Use the 'browse' from your own computer to upload your 80x80 pic.
6. Voila! Your avatar will now appear on all of your previous posts as well as your new posts.
Now ... to start your own thread...
1. On the front page of any forum, example "General Stamping", look just above and to the left top of the thread listings. Just below "FAQ | Member List", you'll see a "New Thread" button.
2. Click "New Thread", create your title, and tell us about it! ;)
3. If you have trouble with this, just send me a Private Message (PM). (Click on my name above my picture, then click the 'Send a private message to TexasGrammy' button from the list.)
Oh, Thank you so much TexaxGrammy, for the help. I've been a member for a number of years, but never knew how to put a picture on. I visit this site EVERY day, for at least a few minutes and it's the ONLY site I go to anymore! Used to play pinochle on line, but this is sooooo much better! ANd, don't get any complaints! Thanks again....

oops--got excited and did not look back on the spelling--ouch!!!!Thanks for the info--I'm a newbee here, so many places to visit. I'm new to stamping and this is a great site. A lot of tips. I'm ready to explore!!
Hi Everyone, I found you all on the internet looking for Best of Cluck card ideas. I haven't the stamps yet and know they are retired but hopefully I will acquire them one day by chance. In doing so though I found your site!!! I was so impressed by all the Best of Cluck idea cards that everyone came up with. Everyone is so creative!!! I read the latest Newsletter about the dryer sheets...what a neat idea. I am a Quilter first and a Cardmaker 2nd...lol I was an avid Cardmaker a few years ago but became really ill for about a year and got into Quilting. Now I am getting addicted to Cards again!! So many new stamps and ideas out there now. The Best of Cluck cards got me started again when I seen one that someone had made. Well, I am rambling. My husband is out of town on business tonight and getting ready to put a piece of Salmon in the oven...along with a salad I am going to make. Will catch up with you again soon....
Okay-you probably have not noticed, but MANY people are posting almost everything to 3 forums:
General Discussion
Everyday Chit Chat
Demo Chit Chat (if you are a demo)
Then I (and the other mods/administrators) need to go through and move things around, and then answer the people who say
"Hey-Where did my post go?";)
SOOOOOOOOOOOOO here is a reminder:
Start Here-a place for new members to introduce themselves and the veterans to welcome them in. I always love seeing new people who live near me.
Announcements-BIG announcements go here-Breaking News as it were about the site or SU, or stamping in general.
General Discussion-a catch all for when you want to talk stamping but no other category seems right
Weekly Challenges-keep up with all the wonderful challenges posted here
Stampin' 101-this is a great place to ask questions like what is the difference between _______ and ____________, or how do I ____________ (emboss, use aquapainters, etc.)
Techniques and Templates-a more specific area for actual how to's with directions/patterns/templates
Swaps-well, for swapping (and read the great guidelines for members and the hostesses there-really helpful)
Everyday Chit Chat-TV, current events, funny things that go on in your life that aren't Stamping related
Buy/Sell/Trade-um, obvious I think-please make sure to read the BST guidelines BEFORE posting
Site Suggestions & Questions-WOW-for many people they neglect this section-so knock the dust off of it and check it out when you have a problem here on the boards of a technical nature. I know Jenn, Beate, and Daven all check this area frequently to see where there are isues-and this is the right forum in which to do so. PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE look through the section a bit before starting a new thread-you may have a similar issue that others have gotten responses to already that could be just the ticket to help you out. ;)
I am going to be merging a lot of threads together, a cool new feature of the site. So if two (or more) people start topics that are the same, they will be put into one thread together. It is time consuming to do, but will help responses to similar situations or questions stay together. To help us out, please poke around and do some searching if you think a question you have might have been asked or answered already.
I am also busy moving things to the right/appropriate forums. If you think your post has been moved, click on your name and then bring you your profile. You can see what threads you have started or posted to and check to see where they might be now in case they are moved or merged.
Thanks so much!!!!

You have to apply for the Demo Forum. Tell your friend to go to Join a User Group on the home page and follow instructions from there.
Thank you for all the great information. I'm not new to the site, but new to actually taking part. I still have a lot of information to gather before I half-way think I know what I'm doing. But, this is a great start. Thanks again.
I am trying to reply in a forum - cuttlebug - I keep getting this error:
"You are only allowed to post URLs to other sites after you have made 3 posts or more." I don't understand why I cannot post my reply. Please explain.
thanks
I'm not new to the site; just new to posting. I often use the awesome gallery we have here, and I know a few ladies here as well!
Thanks for all the great info and the work you do to make the guidelines as clear as possible for the entire community
