I choose all 3 because it really depends on my mood. Do I want to color? Or do I just want to stamp and not drag out the markers ;-) Or do I just want to grab a few spots?? I'm lazy sometimes!!

I hardly ever use anything other than my full size stamp pads. I use them for everything, including watercoloring in images. Have them all, love them all! Don't have any spots. Have lots of markers, but hardly ever use them.
I have all of the full sized ink pads. I'm now collecting the spots in both Craft and Classic. They're perfect to take along when I'm taking classes at my LSS. I love to use 'em for distressing and dtp.
Full-sized ink pads. Used to use little ones because they are cheap (non SU, bought individually) but now I just like to stamp and go, instead of tap tap tapping all over. I am falling in love with markers, though...
Love my full size pads! Great for regular stamping, inking bg stamps, watercoloring and you can't brayer with anything else! I think they are the most versatile thing around. I love the markers second though for omitting and coloring in right on the rubber. I (don't everyone hate me) strongly dislike the spots and gave them to my daughter. She loves to get all my mistake purchases.
I use my markers more than anything. It may be because I have all of the markers and don't of the rest. It may also be because they sit right in front of me and if I want or need a pad I have to get up and walk across the room.
I used spots most until I became a demo. Now I have almost every colour in large in pads. For demo'ing, and for making cards in large quantities, large pads are a necessity. But before demo'ing, spots worked great. I like my markers too, but it's too time consuming to use them all the time.
If you have a blender pen and all the pads, you have all the markers. But if you have all the markers, you just have all the markers. Unless you are limited on space or seriously limited on money, big pads are far easier to use.

I go for the full size pads. Don't want to mess around with anything smaller for inking up stamps.....takes too much time. I have a lot of markers too but use them for other things.

I am so glad I found this thread. This same question has been driving me crazy for two days. I was a strickly big pads kind of gal till this weekend. My friends and I had a stamp night and I packed up all my big pads and papers and sets etc... But when I got there, because it such a pain to dig though the big pads for the colors I want , I ended up using my friends spots all night. I love how they don't take up much room and you get all the colors. My only concern is that I like to brayer. What should I do ? I can't really afford to do both spots and pads in all the colors.

For those of you who only have spots - do you use them on the big background stamps? I was wondering if they cover it well. I would like to get some spots but I love BG stamps and I am worried that the first half will be dry by the time I get to the other half and that it will take forever.
