Depends on my mood.
TV usually news program so all I have to do is listen.
Quiet if nobody is home - DH golfing - LOL.
Radio/CD if I'm mellow.
No matter what is going on in background, I keep a running commentary with my self.
I am a preschool teacher with anywhere from 15-23 kids on any given day so quite tends to hurt my head!! I usually pop in a dvd that i've seen 100 times or put in FRIENDS ( i own all the seasons) just to give me that background noise.. If nothing is on I get nothing done!
I have to have the tv on. The silence is just to much for me. I don't really watch it but I need the noise in the background. We have new puppy (9 months on 7/3) and he loves to help. I usually sit on the floor to stamp so he loves to steal my sponges or pens. And goes crazy when I flick the edge of a card with a sponge. The action must be too much to not try and help.

Hi!
I listen to talk radio, there's a San Francisco station I listen to when I'm home. If I can't tolerate the subject, or the guest host, I'll listen to podcasts, or the news. Sometimes if DD is in the room, the TV is tuned to her stuff.
I prefer season 1-3 of Grey's. I've watched them lots so it's mostly background noise for me. When I get tired of that I usually go for something from Jane Austen. The Masterpiece Theatre version of Jane Eyre is excellent too though.
