I was done with the front of my card except the saying on the front. I accidently rocked my block and got a tad bit of ink on the card. Its close to the top of the card and I don't know what to do to fix it without it looking dumb. What do you do when you mess up, should I toss it?

Ouch! I hate when that happens. I can't quite see in your picture, but it looks like your smudge is the green ink, like the leaves, and is not too big.
Could you ink over the little smudge with a couple of small leaves in the same green?
Once in a while I've been able to "color" over a small smudge with a white gel pen and it didn't look too bad.
And, joking, really, just send the card to someone like me, who doesn't see that well without her glasses, ha!

If putting a little panel with the saying on it doesn't work, then I would cut the entire right hand side of the card front off and use the larger left hand side over a coordinating patterned paper on a new card base. It is pretty!
Oh this has happened to me too many times, especially when I am in a hurry. I can usually cover it up with stamping over it or adding a small butterfly or bird die cut.

I'm on my phone but that looks really tiny. Personally I Might leave it. Though it would frustrate me. Sometimes it's hard to cover a line like that in that type of spot. I've covered spots. If it's a bigger mistake I have started over. Your card is so beautiful. I would not start over. Someone at a card class once said when I messed up a card ' Only God is perfect". I keep that in mind!
Try erasing it. I've been successful with that a few times. If that doesn't work add some lines at the top left and bottom right corners of the verse in the same color to make it look deliberate.
Oh, what a shame - it is such a nice card. Sequins are really popular right now. If re-stamping the sentiment and popping it up doesn't work, I would add some sequins in "random" places to the card including one to cover the smudge.
Not that I have any personal experience ;);) but I've tried erasing-which sometimes causes more trouble, sponging the edge of the card to make the color less obvious, cutting down or tearing a panel (if I had a one layer card like yours, I've cut it down and put it onto a base), added ribbons or buttons or other embellishments (which wouldn't work as well up at the top probably), but what I use most often is a punched out sentiment on another sheet glued over the boo-boo.
Jennifer McGuire suggests using a craft knife to scrape away at the smudge, which I think works if the paper is thick enough and you are careful to just scrape the surface. She then uses an eraser to take the little paper fuzz balls away. I've tried that, but it hasn't worked as well for me because I usually work on thinner card stock. Then I usually use one of the methods mentioned here :-)
Thank you, I ended up coloring a rhinestone with my blendabilities and put it over the spot. Thank you all for your advise.
Excellent solution! In this case, I probably would have stamped the sentiment and maybe even the tip of the leafy part and layered it on top - but your idea was simpler and pretty!
I often try stamping a sentiment right on the card front knowing that I can always make it a separate piece if I mess up.
Usually if I mess up a card, I salvage what I can, toss the rest and move on.

This can work well if the ink is chalky. I keep an art eraser (the tan crumbly kind) with my stamping supplies.
Oh that is what little butterflies or hearts are made for
I have tiny butterfly and heart punches and I always have a supply of them punched in a variety of colors !
If it is on a male card cover it with a little embellishment that compliments the card. I don't throw out cards with mistakes I either rescue the card by hiding the flaw or I rescue all the die cuts and embellishments .

One of my favorites is to use a textured sponge on a stick that I bought from Dove Brushes item tb-3 (the black one in the pic). I've had this tool for years and it's great for covering smudges, fingerprints, or if over-ink a stamp and the stamp edge shows. Sometimes when an embellishment just won't work or sponging will add too much color the little squiggly lines the tool makes is enough to cover the boo-boo. It's also great for hiding ink spots on the back of card base (this happens because I didn't stop to cleanup me messy desktop :rolleyes
Your "fix" is perfect. Also, everyone had such great suggestions. I have used a lot of them, in fact, last night I used a bird over my line and it looks a little like the bird has a piece of hay in his bill. It worked. I always say, NEVER look on the underside of a panel or embellishment. The first try isn't always so perfect!
The finished card looks fantastic. I usually make multiples to keep cards in inventory. If I start with 12, I'm very happy if I end up with 9. That's just the way it rolls some times.

First let me say it's a beautiful card!!! I'd probably love it just as much with the booboo too! After all it's homemade and homemade doesn't need to be "Perfect". Second...I use bling all the time to cover smudges or depending on where the smudge is ( like maybe in the landscape of a card) I just add more smudges. Works for me!
In your particular case, I would take the fern stamp you used and ink it in the same color green to match the smudge and stamp just the very tip of it coming from the top of the card down to just cover it. That keeps the "feel" of the card the same. Another thing you could do is put another one of the little punched flowers over it. If it extends over the edge, you could trim it even. In any case DON'T toss it!!! It is truly beautiful and the smudge is hardly noticeable, but I know it would bug me, too.
In general, remember the "Three C's of Correction"
Cover Up: Stamp the image on a separate piece of paper, cut it out and mount it over
the spot
Camouflage: Sponge over it, use a texture stamp over it, as well as other places on
on the card to match
Cut It Out: If all else fails, cut out the good parts and attach them to a new card
Small mistake, embellish. Large mistake, grumble a few nasty words and start over.

I can't believe no one is like me. Angrily wad that paper up and throw it across the room! lol. Really that only happens after I try one of the above fixes and it doesn't work. (Really it depends on the mood I'm in. I craft to release stress. Throwing things helps relieve stress!)

Of course we're like you, lol. We just aren't admitting it!

If I can salvage the card, I'll not toss it.
There are so many good suggestions here that could help all of us.
My cards are too elaborate most of the time and I'm not willing to just give up.

If you use a rhinestone, scatter at least two more on the card so it doesn't stick out as odd.
I blubbed a card royally the other day. I wanted the lines of a 4 line sentiment in different colours and I have a MISTI. So I masked off three of the lines with tape, inked the line I wanted, and removed the tape with the excess ink. I stamped the first line and continued with the second line in the same way. (The MISTI tool helps you line everything up again like using a stamp-a-am-jig but better) But Argh!! I forgot to remove the tape this time and has a massive mess over the whole area where the stamp was to go! So I restamped the sentiment on blank cardstock and die cut it placing it over the blub. Works most of the time. I almost always manage to save at least part of a card as I hate waste.
