I have two, as I get one in the mail with all sorts of junk flyers and one in the paper. Bought a new bone folder (which means I will find my missing one today) and I hope to find a scrapbook kit with a beach theme. Lots of M's around here so I just cruise them all. If I can't find the sb item, I just "waste" the coupon for a mono adhesive refill.

Christine M, you may have gotten the ad and didn't realize it as it wasn't their normal newspaper full page ad, mine was a large cards type and almost threw it away.
What paper is that!? I usually throw those silly little things away without reading them - but I would pick though my trash can if I could have another!

The one in So Cal was not normal...it wasn't on the same paper or the same size, so I had to fish through the paper like three times! It's amazing how much determination comes with a 50% off coupon.
I hope to get a Cuttlebug Alpha but I have a nagging feeling that M's won't have any in stock (the one I want that is). Otherwise I will probably get this bobbin winder thingie that was new around Christmas time.

I got a Martha Stewart border punch and a Brillance Graphite Black ink pad. I had a small graphite black and found out it blends so well with the darker grey paper from SU so I got a big pad. It is great to stamp the design and then outline the stamped piece with the grey paper. When I get time to take some snapshots I will upload a card with that! Anyhoo, had two coupons and my Michaels didn't have anything new!
I walked around Michael's for 25 minutes trying to find something to buy with my 50% off coupon. I finally left, walked across the street to Joanns and used my coupon in a nano second on a new set of Glaze pens.
Is it just me or does anyone else have trouble finding anything to buy in Mike's besides magazines and glue dots with coupons? They really need to step up their merch. I would buy a Martha punch but can't use coupons on those so don't bother. Worst part? I have a $50 gift card a friend gave me and can't seem to use it up!
I got a Big Kick w/ my last 50% coupon & a gift cert. I wound up just paying $4.50 tax!
I gave my DD the one for this week & she got the 12x12 portable hanging paper carrier. She goes to a lot of crops so she was thrilled!!
We had the new big card type ad too. It was stuck in a diff part of Sun paper than the reg. ads they stuff in the funny paper section.

Reason: addin' stuff
I'm pretty disappointed at the Micheals & the Joannes in my area ~ they have nothing new or fun (I sure wish my J would have the Glaze pens) ~I ended up with a set of dies that I'd been eyeballing for some time for my cuttlebug. ~ I almost got some Prismas but I contained myself ~ feeling very proud of myself ~ I'm still working on my New Year's Resolution to use what I have & I simply love my SU watercolor crayons... plus, there will always be more coupons & maybe I'll put those on my present wish lists~...
Alright ladies.....
just incase some of you are unaware of this..... I never get flyers delivered to our area, as it is fairly new. So anytime I go into a M's, I simply ask if they have a coupon out, they answer yes or no, and if they do, I tell them that I don't get coupons and they always let me sign for it. THat's how they roll up here in Canada anyways! Just an FYI for y'all!!!
Hmmmmm....guess that means lots of 50%'s off if you travel to different M's Stores....you didn't hear it from me!!!

I am VERY disappointed in our Michael's. I didn't get my coupon, went with my daughter the other day and she went up and asked for a flyer or coupon (I was in the ladies room - not feeling well) and when I come out, my daughter is quiet and just said the lady she asked was VERY rude and refused. I asked to speak to a manager, and none were available ofcourse. So fine, I went online and emailed their head office and logged a complaint. So far all I got was an email saying they would have their DM speak to the store Manager and "someone" would get back to me. I was NOT impressed. I made sure my complaint was very thorough. WHO treats anyone, let alone a child so rudely and expects people to want to shop there?? I have spent a pretty penny there over the years and am fully prepared to take my business elsewhere if I don't get satisfaction. There are PLENTY of scrapbook stores, small and larger ones that would appreciate the business and treat me far better.
It will be interesting to see how or if they respond. So far it's been 3 days since I sent them the email.
I guess I have too much stuff. My hubby had one coupon and I the other. He landed up buying a big roll of Kraft Paper to ship stuff in and I landed up buying extra blades for my paper cutter.
Michael's has lost it's edge!

The M's by me is pretty crummy too, I usually don't expect to find anything good there anymore. Last night I took my coupon to Joanns first in search of the Xyron 250, well....they didn't have one :( So then I decided, what the heck let's check M's anyway. Lo and behold they had not one but two in stock I was shocked!!! I grabbed it and ran for the checkout. It cost me $10.64. The perfect companion for my c-bug!

I got a CUTTLEBUG! I'm so excited!!! I just made my first card with it too.
Best 50% off experience yet! :-)
I got a cuttlebug with mine too! I'm so excited. I've waited forever to use a coupon to get it. Usually, they have them marked down so you can't use a coupon to buy it. I've ordered a bunch of embossing folders online so I can use it (I have a CraftRobo so I don't need any of the dies). I found a site that had the folders on for $4.39US and with shipping they're still about 1/2 the price at Michaels. Can't wait till the folders get here so I can start using my new Cuttlebug! My husband keeps calling a Cutterbug
I'm hoping their storage cubes are not on sale. The last time I was going to use a 50% off coupon on them, all storage items were on sale -- for less than the coupon. Never ceases to happen! I actually might be able to snag a second coupon from my neighbor. We trade -- I feed her cats when she's on vacation, and she gives me all her Joann and Michaels coupons. Such a deal!
I walked around today and couldn't find anything to use my coupon on for myself. I did find a Better Homes and Garden cookbook for my college boy though. I'm so glad I didn't buy at Barnes & Noble earlier today. At B&N it was $29.95. At Michaels, it was $14.95 then 50% off so I paid less than $8! YIPPEEE!
It's getting to the point that I don't find anything to buy at Mike's, Joann's or HL. Either they don't have anything new or I just have everything.
I bought an 8x8 album to make an altered/scrapped cookbook for my cousin.
I heard on the news that a new Michaels store opened in Coralville, Iowa, about 25 miles from me. I am so tempted to go down there to check it out. I'm curious whether they have any new and different items from the Michaels in my town.

Michaels policy has always been to not give out fliers w/ coupons in their stores. I recently heard that they will be changing that policy in the near future.
