I am really into Alphabets sets now since I want to do more scrappin.Right now I have collage, outlines, and some non su sets like heros.and some that I got from Micheal's.it was school sports set.anyway back to su sets.
I was thinking about the Headlines sets.Since they seem like a good size to play with. And the newer ones in the mini catalog are just too much for me to buy all of them.
And I still can't find a decent stencils set that I like where the letter isn't half seperated.
I am also looking for a lower case letter set.I guess this is what I need the most of since everytime I go to find a lower case set it seems vertually impossible to find.unless it's SU.but noone sells lower case anywhere else that I could find.so if you had your choice for a current su stamp set which lower case and upper case would you buy.

I love both Headline and Letterpress (large) from SU. I also really like Pure and Simple from SU... all of them are very versatile.
I wish I had gotten Tall Tales when it was available ... I'm kicking myself now and hoping it will be in the new SU catalog!
whimsical and crazy are my favorites! I love the crazy set!! It looks so good in my scrapbook with my kids pics. They really like it too and use it for school stuff. it is different

I think Pure & Simple is the most versatile; it seems to work with any type of page.
That said, I love Tidy & Whimsical too for something different.
For smaller alphas, I like Newsprint.
I have so many that I love. It's hard to choose one. I would say that Pure and Simple is a great one for lower case. It's such a good font and can be combined easily with other alphabets like Headline or the Letterpress when you want different sized alphas together.

I have Bold Alphabet and Letterpress and use them almost exclusively for scrapbooks. I'm not crazy about the bold one (just too boring). I love the Letterpress, but I have a really hard time getting it to stamp a nice image. I have to go back and color it in with my watercolor crayons. My mom has the brushstroke alphabet and I love the way it looks in albums. It is a set that doesn't look bad if it is not lined up exactly.
Whatever set you choose, I would highly recommend using EZ Mount with it. I never used my alphabets until I EZMounted then. Now I can use them all the time. HTH
Cat I was also wondering the same thing.cut and hook together.I have seen someone cut them out and put a small hole in the top of each one then thread some twine in each hole connecting them to make a word. Not sure if that's what she meant.
I guess you could also attach them by overlapping the top and bottoms together and adding eyelets to them to make a chain,so they kind of hang like a border.
Get back to us and let us know what you meant by that cut and hook together.

You will never go wrong with Headline or Letterpress in my opinion (tough decision between the two). For a smaller set with lowers I recommend Newsprint also because it is so versatile. I scrapbook a lot and it can be used for all sorts of styles: girl, boy, casual, more dressy, etc.etc. With that in mind, my next set will definitely by Whimsical! GOod Luck!
I have the Whimsical lower and LOVE it - I like the fact that it is in fact whimiscal so if you don't stamp straight it still looks GREAT...
I also have headline too...
depends on what you are going to use the stamps for - if you are going to use them for scrapbooking - you would probably get more use out of the slightly smaller size of whimsical -
But then again I love my HEADLINE alpha too...

O.k. I just checked out letterpress and I already have a similiar looking set from hero arts.so I guess it is going to be headline for upper and whimsical for lower.Since I already have collage.outlines both upper and lower, and some others.
I wish I had gotten tall tales.I hope that makes the big catalog.

The only one I have is Letterpress and I have used it so much. I love it! I don't own any smaller alphabets. I used to own Brushstroke, but I didn't love it so I gave it to my sister who does scrapping and would get more useout of it.

Letterpress for my fave SU set. Pharmacy from MoBe Stamps for my overall fave! Or maybe Rings from MoBe...it's a tie.
