I was on the phone with my sister and we were discussing this. I thought it would be interesting to get more input.
What color do you find is "missing" from the SU colors?
For me, I'd love a light orange color. Not only orange, but MUCH lighter. Sort of a summery tangerine color. Something that would go with the barely banana, gable green, ballet blue combo.
I would love greenish blue... like if you lightened up Tempting Turquosie just a smooch and mixed it with Mint Melody........ kind of that greenish blue ocean water color.....

Ohhhh, that would be a great replacement for Taken with Teal.... which I find way too harsh. I think a richer ocean blue-green would be wonderful!
Thanks for starting this thread! I was thinking about starting it myself.
PEACH!!!! I want PEACH!!!
Also some paler pastels - Bliss Blue isn't really a light pastel. Same with Barely Banana.
It seems like we have a lot of blues and purples, but could use more oranges. It seems like we have a lot of colors that are close - Ballet Blue and Brocade Blue, for example.
My daughter calls that kind of blue "pacific blue", that would be great! I would also love a peach or lighter orange ("perfect peach"?), a royal purple, and a lighter blue (bring back the old bliss blue!) There are more, but I will stop at that for now as my sick child is calling me!

hee hee - I am not too "taken" with the teal either. I don't think I have used it but once - if that.....
A peach would be nice! Cameo Coral is great and I want to keep it but something with a big more orange in it would be great.
Burnt orange!! I love that suggestion too! I was trying to make it last night for my pumpkins by stamping in Only orange and stippling really rust over the top - looked OK, but a pad that did it all for me would be AWESOME!

Yup, all those and a red that's orange-red, and a more reddish-purples, more blue-greens both dark and light, more yellow-greens again both dark and light.
I am going to be totally redundant and copy/paste another comment I wrote earlier-I think you all have wonderful ideas, adn would love to see some of these myself, soooo...
Whether customer or demo-the best way to see these get put into place is to conatct Stampin' Up! Many changes this year were put in place because of demos and customers speaking up and saying what they wanted.
So if you post here, please make a copy of your comments and then send them directly to Stampin' Up! Posting them here will not help the company make the changes you want to see.
click www.stampinup.com and the contact us! section at the bottom of the page-you can e-mail the marketing department directly!!

Peach/Sherbet orange
Lime
greens with a little brown in them (earthy)
light browns to cream
lighter mustard color
burnt orange/reds
a lighter eggplant
a lighter turquoise (like a retro blue)
browns that are lighter but with red tones (earthy)
Basically,,,,,,a shade in between every color we have!
I would love to see more of a fruit colored line ... tangerine, strawberry, kiwi, lime, lemon, honeydew, cataloupe, peach, raspberry, etc. I would also love a truer purple.
fantastic ideas i never gave it another thought as to adding siffwerent colors to su paper. but now let me tell you as a demo i will get a hold of them and suggest a nother color group maybe. great idea . love the burnt orange thought.
Although I agree with the need for several of these colors, especially PEACH, I would really like to see a texured line of papers, something similar to the bazzil style.

Thanks Camsmom for suggesting that we write StampinUp! with our color suggestions. I wrote them about the burnt orange stamp pad! Hopefully we will see that in next year's catalog. ......along with a nutcracker stamp set and a karate/taekwondo stamp set that I also requested!!!!
Love the idea of a new color family and textured paper. Way cool. The only color that I would suggest is khaki. I think that would be a great addition to Michelle and Julie's lists.

Yah, maybe "scratch & sniff" added to it too :!:
I would like to see a true purple and a red-orange color. I think they should look at a box of Crayola's (96 count) and make a color to match each one!
I agree that a more ocean blue would be great, but I love the current bliss blue. Get rid of Bordering Blue- it's so hard to tell if it's blue or gray. Not a very pretty color. We need a true purple, a peach and a tan or flesh color. There are two many reds and purples right now that are very similiar.
I would absolutely adore a deep, regal purple, a darker olive green, terra cotta, more oranges...really, I'm a paper fanatic at heart, so just about anything works for me.
Yoyo Yellow is WAY too bright for me -- I use Summer Sun instead. They could possibly bring back the lime color and put it in Bold Brights, or maybe Gable Green would be too close. I'm all for a lighter orange color, too. I never use Only Orange.
Since they probably want to keep the four groups of twelve colors, perhaps Basic Black could be pulled out of Earth Elements and grouped with Basic Brown and the other neutrals to make room for another earth-tone color -- maybe the suggested peach color could go here?

I agree with the person that wrote we need "fruit" colors: tangarine, lime etc. It's like Crayola crayons that have blended colors. Not quite orange, but not quite yellow either. Not quite blue, not quite green. etc. I would name them "Beautiful Blends".
I agree about the need for more orangy colors, and yet I find most of their reds are an orangy-red. I want the deep blue-ish reds- CRANBERRY, WINE, etc.!
I would love to see a better burgundy. Maybe better isn't the word I am looking for. Maybe just another burgundy that would coordinate with baroque burgundy. Hmmmmmmm.......I can't wait to see the new catalog. I had better just "hold on to my horses" though because July is along way off. :?
I emailed SU with my list of color requests as well as the thread to this posting. They have emailed me back saying they will pass the info on. Please remember to email SU when there is something you want. If enough people request the same thing, I'm sure they would give it careful consideration.
