stamp set are you using this year???? I am on the hunt for the perfect stamp set to make christmas cards.
I did just order SU Holy Family but I need another one to.
So if you already know what one you are using - please share!!!
Papertrey Ink are doing sneak peaks of their upcoming release (15th of this month) and they look ab fab. I noticed this morning that their design team have some fantastic samples of these new Christmas sets - I think I will be tempted! You could take a look.
I hate making too many of one card, so I am using
1. several sets from Waltzingmouse Stamps (the gingerbread one and the Very Vintage Christmas) I'm going to use these sets to make gift tag as well.
2 Merry and Bright from Papertrey. I made one card with the latter last year.
I've been checking Nichole's blog for the Papertrey Ink sneak peeks and fell in love with the new Stocking Prints set. It has twelve different stockings and five different cuffs. I love how the cuffs are separate so you can stamp them in different colors and mix and match the different stockings and cuffs.
I'll be sending last year's cards that I never got sent due to my daughter's December wedding. It seems weird not making the usual amount. I'll have to figure out what to make to send to those that weren't on the list last year.
Holy Family (today's blog post in fact)
Thomas Kinkade village stamp
Scenic Season (SU)
The rustic door from last year's SU winter mini (can't remember the name)
All the Glitters from Flourishes

I also make a variety and use a bunch of different sets. Some of the sets I'm using this year are mainly from Stampin Up:
Flaky Friends
Season of Joy
To you and yours ( I think this is what it is called.. the one with the house and dove.. I'm too lazy to go check right now)
So far, I have used the Big Pine Bough from Hero Arts which I really love. You can bling it up with dots of glitter or tiny gems. I have also bought the brand new Winter Pine stamp to make some winter forest scenes. There is a lovely card made with this on the HA blog, stamped onto kraft, coloured and speckled with snow. However I am also going to buy the Penny Black 'Partridge in a Pear Tree' clear set which I really like and would make some fun cards.
So far I'm using Snow Swirled from SU & I'm thinking about the new tree set from Papertrey. I'm loving the sneak peeks this week. But I also want to see what Gina K is offering at the end of this month in her new release. She also said it would kick off their holiday offerings.
I usually assembly line my Christmas cards and send everyone the same thing. This year, I'm going to use the Cornish Heritage Farms B&O Mary and Joseph. I'm planning to use the cracked glass technique with this image.
I'm also doing a card class at a local church in November, and we're doing two cards. One will use the CHF B&O Stocking Elves (such a cute stamp!!). The other one will use the Impression Obsession Dotted Tree.
I am using the TRAIN COLLAGE from TAC. It's a beautiful stamp, only 1 stamp in the set, and it's an easy, simple card I'm making!! I didn't want to do anything complicated since I have to make about 45-50 of them! Karen

I actually have this stamp and only used a couple of times. Think I will pull it out again. It is a great stamp!
I'm using a couple of sets ( so I can justify all the ones I own!!) TAC's new Vintage Santa set, the Joyful Ornaments set and some of my Sugar Nellies and Magnolias and probably some from last year like Perky Penguins which is just beyond cute!!

What if I told you that, including the StampTV kit, we have 9 sets debuting this month! Lots to look forward to. I am so pumped! LOL!
Think I am going to save some of my birthday.
9 SETS?? WOW!! Now I cannot wait for your previews. I love getting those emails and I look at every one. I already have a HUGE wish list for GinaK!!
Unless I change my mine because I've seen something I just HAVE to CASE! (lol), I'm using Dasher and Four Christmas (I think that's the name of the sentiment set in the Holiday Mini)
Location: I SHOULD be living in Tornado Alley but I live in Edmonton, AB, Canada.

I have two sets that I love, love, love (both are SU sets). The first is Snow Swirled- it's very versatile as you can use either the tree, the snowflakes or a combination of both. My other new fave defintely has to be Delightful Decorations- paired with the matching punch, you can make a lot of cards very quicky and easily!

I'm going to start making my cards as soon as I get home from Vacation.
And the set's I'm going to are from The Angel Company. Holiday Cheer and Peace stamp set from the New Inspiration Avenue Catalog.
Holiday Cheer is NOT but it's in the new mini catalog.
These are great! My favorite christmas stamp set from TAC is still the Nativity Silhouette. I use that set every year for a couple of cards and projects.
I am using Stampin Up's Holiday LineUp and also their Season's Surfin' (I think that's what it's called) which may just be available in Australia.
That Holiday Lineup is fun to use (if you like to colour) and it looks great.
Ok..if we can pick more than one:
Snowman Navitity from TAC
Dasher
Snow Swirled
I have already made a few thousand Christmas cards and have used all these...I am sure I will use many more sets before Christmas is actually here.
blessings.
Man, I am still having a tough time deciding what I am going to use. I do know I am going to use SU's Good Cheer for my Mom's Christmas cards I will make for her to send out because she LOVES Santa and that is a great vintage feel stamp. For me, I am leaning towards Dasher (embossed in gold and silver and bronze) and Scenic Scene, also maybe embossed in gold and silver and bronze. I think that would be a WOW factor with those stamps.
