I don't mean to sound like I'm brown-nosing, but my best purchase was a membership to the Fan Club. And not even because of all the great things you can see in the Dirty Dozen Gallery. It is my best purchase because I feel like I am helping financially in a very small way to contribute to this GREAT website!!
I don't know about the rest of you, but if it weren't for this site, I probably wouldn't even know what a Cuttlebug is, much less actually own and use one..alot! And, yes, I have seen the Crop-a-dile in the store, but I certainly didn't know I *needed* it until I read all the posts about it here. And I just wonder how many sales of the Japenese Screw Punch will happen because of this thread!
My DH would probably say it is the worst thing because of all I have bought! But it has also saved me money too. I don't have to buy a bunch of worthless tools before I find the one that really works, kwim? Whenever I buy something, I already know that it has the SCS Stamp of Approval. (You know, kind of like the Good Housekeeping Seal!)
My stamp press. I LOVE it. I get perfect impressions with my mongo background stamps every time. No more butt stamping for me! Got mine at Utrecht with a coupon.
Dick Blick price is $63.29. I want one for background stamps.

I looked on the Utecht site and found this one.....it was really hard to find when I searched for block press but it is a little cheaper. They charge $9.95 for shipping.
Karen Foster Snap Stamps. Now I can stamp whatever sentiment I want (that I don't have in rubber) without having to use the computer!
Funny - if you'd asked us that a week ago, I probably would have said the SU sanding blocks - don't know how I ever lived without them - seriously! (Sometimes it's those smaller things in life...)

Yes, that's the one I bought. At the time it was labeled a Speed Ball, but I was sent a Jack Richeson. Didn't matter, it was the same thing. It weighs six pounds, so the shipping is quite reasonable.
A simple little tip for when you're stamping with this. If your cardstock is smaller than your background stamp, place a larger piece of paper over it so you don't get ink on the press.

I KNOW!!!! (re: the little things) (best Monica voice)
I just realized I neglected to add the highly valuable, and oft overlooked:
Sakura Quickie Glue Pen. Whenever I find 'em, I buy 2-3 at a time. I would be lost without that thing!

My Computer--cheap and reliable, just like all my friends

Almost exactly the same here -- prismacolors and Gamsol, ticket corner punch and my soon to arrive Bind it All (I too know I will love it). I'd have to add my designer label punch too -- I am addicted to it.

Well . . . the only really cool thing I have is the Cuttlebug. Now if I can only remember that I have it when doing projects!! LOL
I've also concluded that I need to go get me a few items such as . . . . . the OTT lamp (not sure what it is really but sounds like a must have lol), a cropodile (I'm sure I could make good use of that too), I also must have the stamp-a-majig thingy (I think that helps the placement of the stamp? I have real issues with this right now *sigh*). I have to move beyond the 4 ink pads that I currently have and get me some real stamps that don't smudge (I'm sure the stamp is the problem and not the stamp'ee'). More colluzzles, more punches, more stamps, more paper, more markers, more ribbon, more pretty embellishments.
I need another job.

Art is intended to provoke an emotion from a total stranger. If youve succeeded in this, consider yourself an artist. Paper Shanks Blog. Love me or hate me, you are still talking about me
My boobs, the year I turned 40... uh, you probably meant stampin' stuff though, huh? Well then, it's a toss up between my Cuttlebug and my Bind-it-All.
For the best thing that is stamping related...the ink storage system my dad to build me! It has 60 slots and holds my pads and my reinkers. My dad is awesome...I just showed him a few websites and he designed and built me something even better! Love that man!
Me too!!!! I asked my Dad to do the same thing and now (as of 2 days ago) I am the new and very proud owner of a 60 pad/reinker/marker storage unit...as well as 5 of my stamp club members 'cuz he's such a great guy! Aren't dad's wonderful!!!!!
Oh right!! what could I not live without... hmmmm...
My Creative Memories Personal trimmer (perfect for smaller cuts)
Crop a dile
Coluzzle (including all very cool templates and a cutting mat 2nd to none!)
Punches
Heat gun (I emboss A LOT)
Craft knife ( I use it for distressing and poking holes for brads)
Mine is boring - - - but I have a HUGE GORGEOUS DESK and my favorite thing is the sheet of durable plex-i-glass I bought to cover it - -- I never worry about my desk and I can use blades, inks, glues, . . . etc. . . whatever!!!!

My cutting table and Ott light.
Then it would be crates and hanging files for cardstock.
Lastly, couldn't live without versamark.

I can't live without my Dotto repositionable adhesive! It's the BEST!!
Another vote goes to Stamp a Ma Jig, and Making Memories Instant Setter. The great thing about this gadget is that it set eyelets in a snap and ALSO doubles as an anywhere hole punch.
Gotta love my craft and rubber scissors too--makes trimming rubbah a breeze!

BWAHAHA! Almost lost my cereal over that one! Mine are:
cuttlebug
crop-a-dile
sponges - LOVE sponged edges
and my rockin' new stamp pad storage - pix in my gallery
I'm very curious about the dreamcuts....do I hear the swoosh of money leaving my wallet? Again?

Oh, please don't make me play favorites among my toys! I don't want to hurt the non-favorites' feelings! ;)
*chuckle*
If you are referring strictly to tools, here are a few:
My Big Shot, and all the dies I can use on it, that cut through more than card stock, regardless of brand
My Milwaukee Heat Gun (10+ years and has *never* failed me)
Xyron Machine (all 3 ;) )
All Basic Shape Punches featuring lever style handles
All Scallop Shape Punches
Paper Piercing Tool
EK Success Glass Cutting Mat
Carl DC-220e Heavy Duty Rotary Cutter
Versamark Ink Pad
SU! Stamp Scrub
Making Memories Instant Eyelet Setter, + Ribbon/Slot Punching Tips
I'm with Julie......can't choose just one.....but my 2 favourites......cuttlebug...and my Scor-it !!! Just love it :-D
Old but not forgotten, my Xyron machine for adhesive and lamination.
I use it ALL the time and I almost forgot about it as a tool. It's great for running paper through before die-cutting so my letters are already sticky. It would be SO tedious to have to put glue on them individually. Yay, Xyron.
I run sheets of paper through it to cover notebooks, etc. It's THE BEST thing I ever bought... with LOTS of close seconds.
