Default What am I doing wrong

Bought the Spectrum Noir glitter pen and finally got it to work but after the glitter dries, it rubs off. What am I doing wrong? My Wink of Stellar doesn't rub off. Really disappointed with these new pens. Anyone have any ideas? I just know someone here has an answer. Thanks

I just googled and the search results I got said that the SN glitter pens do rub off. A few people said WOS also comes off when rubbed, but only a little. Based on what I read, coming off when rubbed might be a characteristic of the SN glitter pen rather than being caused by something you're doing wrong.

You can always apply a fixative (some people use hair spray) to keep it from coming off.

I only have the WOS and I have been very happy and had no issues with my WOS.

Good luck!

Don't believe you are doing anything wrong. I hava both WOS & SN glitter pens. SN gives a little more bling but does rub off. I have had no issues with WOS. I do let both dry overnight (last thing I do when card is finished is apply the glitter). I find the SN will still rub off but not as much.

I really appreciate your feedback. Nice to know I am not doing something wrong. Now I will have to figure out how to seal the glitter or get rid of the pens. Would have thought they would have put a sealing agent in the pens. Never have this problem with the WOS pens. Thanks again for your responses.

I hadn't used my SN gold sparkle pen in awhile and when I pulled it out recently the ink came out an olive green color and absolutely no sparkle. I shook it up like crazy, but still green and no sparkle. :(

That is exactly the color my gold SN pen is! Disgusting color. I bought this pen a couple of years ago (and discovered this at the time). If yours is a new pen, I would say this is pukey gold color that SN has is intentional.

I remember when I first opened the package and tried the pen i wasn't all that impressed, which is probably why I haven't used it in a long time. But it looks worse than I remember and yes it is a puke color!

That green color is probably the result of Tarnish! I'd contact the manufactured and see if I could get credit.
I am speaking from experience, sort of. I bought a snow glob at Christmas time for my son when he was little. He LOVED that thing and could hardly wait to unpack it again the next year, but when we did - yuk. The water had turned a dark nasty green/brown, a.k.a. puke color. Whatever material was used for the gold glitter in the globe had tarnished big time, my son was so heart broken.
