Default What Adhesive do you use? Why?

Okay ladies. I'm trying to get caught up & organize my stamp room/space. But I've run into a problem...I have too many darn adhesives!!!

This is what I have
1. Tombo MonoAqua - not yet used
2. Scrappy Glue by Magic Scraps - love it for mini beads & buttons
3. Zip 2 way glue pen - almost gone
4. Scotch 2 sidded tape - use all the time!!!
5. Xron premanent tape run - not sure if cost effective
6. Hermafix Dotto - not sure if cost effective but I LOVE IT
7. Tombo Monoadhesive (now known in SU! catty as Snail) - never use
8. Tombo Vario Tabs and dispenser - use for photos
8. Schotch Glue Stick - never use

I'm a SU! demo and can't decide what is MOST cost effect for workshops. I've been using the Scotch double stick tape in my workshops....but does this make $ sence?

For my personal work...I think I prefer the HErmafix Dotto...but I still want to know everyone elses insight. I'm just too indecisive.

I have most of the same ones you have, but I seem to go back to the mono-adhesive most of the time. I use the hermie in my scrapbooks and glue dots for embellishments. It really depends on what I'm doing. I think the mono-adhesive is the most cost effective for card making. Especially with a Viking sale! I haven't tried the dotto yet. It looks fun. My friend uses double stick tape for her cards. I use it to wrap presents. Too much trouble to use with card making.

I use the mono adhesive for all my cards, glue dots for embellishments, double sided tape or now the "Sticky Tape" for boxes and the crystal effects if I need something to really stick. For my at home use I go to Wal-Mart and buy the red ducky mono that is 4 for $8 but for workshops and camps, I only use the Stampin Up stuff. The other adhesives just seem to be too much bother.

I use our 2 way glue pen and the mono--the mono because of the great deals on VIKING! Glue dots are great as well for embellishments. So I pretty much stick to these at workshops and w/ my stamp clubs.
But my favorite BY FAR is Scrappy Glue for personal use. I LOVE,LOVE, LOVE Scrappy Glue!! I can't find it around here though and it's bumming me out. I use this ALL THE TIME and I'm almost out! I picked it up at ARCHIVERS in ILL. when I went to visit my in-laws. (Talk about an eye-opening experience! Archivers ROCKS! You could seriously go broke in a place like that . . . but that's another story! ) It's a good thing we don't have one around here because my SU! catalog is making me go broke enough as it is!

I usually use Mono. I have double stick tape that I use for stuff with some weight. I don't really like the 2 way glue. Have never tried Herma or the Scrappy glue. Is it glue like Elmers? or like the 2way glue?

I use mono basically cause it is so cheap through VIKING. Can't beat the price and way better than glue sticks!! lol

I use MonoAdhesive for cards because of the Viking deals! However, if I'm crimping my paper or using a lot of fibers to wrap around stuff, I use the Sticky tape. THAT STUFF IS FANTASTIC!

For scrapbooking I use the Hermafix Vario Tabs (the little squares) and I'm SO BUMMED that we dont' sell those anymore. Those are so GREAT and so much better than mono, imho. You can re-place your stuff for several hours if you need to with the Hermafix Vario Tabs.

I use the 2-way glue pen for glitter (LOVE those Dazzling Diamonds!).

I use Crystal effects for the flat marble magnets and for the raised bubble look.

I use Scotch's vellum tape with my vellums.

I keep stampin' dimensionals around ALWAYS. I also like the glue dots for buttons.

I use regular Scotch tape to tape down fibers and ribbons on the back of card covers.

Be careful with the MonoAqua -- I bought it to glue down the images on a presentation board for one of my classes, and it leaked everywhere and made a huge mess!

I've always used double-sided tape for my stamp camps (bought at Wal-Mart) but I'm thinking seriously of switching to mono-adhesive through Viking. Do you find that people use less mono than tape? I've never been able to figure out if it really is more cost effective. Help! My upline group still uses double-sided tape and feels that is the better deal.

www.vikingop.com

I have way too many refills on hand so I don't have the current special price code.

I mainly use Mono adhesive for my cards and scrapbooking. I also use double stick tape but to me the Mono adhesive is cheaper to use.

I use the Mono Adhesive most now that I get such great deals at Viking. But I also use rubber cement for larger card fronts and because its to easy to move around. I use miny glue dots for embellishments and bows, and crystal effects for the flat marbles. I like the 2-way glue pen for glitter. And yes I do use the double-sided tape also.

I got a bunch of mono adhesive through Viking but I'm finding it doesn't stay stuck. Anyone else having this problem?

Mine doesn't stay stuck well when I'm using it on a project where there is tension on the adhesive. Like when I fold over a tag and mono it, the tag is trying to come apart and the mono doesn't do a good job of holding it. In that case I either need to use a glue dot or the sticky strip...

I usually use sticky tape or mono adhesive for my cards, although the monoadhesive sometimes drives me crazy b/c it doesn't always come out right. For scrapbooking I use the Creative Memories tape runner and mini tape runner, this is great for small skinny die cuts. The tape runners are great to get either alot or just a little bit of needed tape at one time, no sticking to the fingers or scissor mess.

I use mono adhesive from viking. I do have problems with it not coming out right. My friend only uses it in the corners for her cards (to conserve tape at her workshops), but I find that I need more adhesive than that. I've also used Scotch double sided tape from Sams club. That works just as good as mono. For glitter I use either crystal effects, 2-way glue, or the heat and stick powder (my new favorite accessory). For embellishments I use glue dots or dimensionals. I'm glad I'm not a demonstrator and have to use SU! SNAIL adhesive, and pay up the ying-yang for it!

I like Scotch 2-sided tape
glue dots
crystal effects

For super-tiny things I will resort to the Zig 2-way, but the first three things are my standbys.

THanks ladies. This insight helps me in making a decision as to what adhesive to keep using and LIMIT my collection to.

Default Mono and Hermafix

I love the Hermafix and I use it for most of my work. When I do workshops, I use Mono adhesive because I have lots of them and they are cost effective.
