Since all of you here are so creative (and helpful!), I was wondering if you had some ideas for wedding invitations. My aunt is getting married in October, and I offered to make her invites. She's going to look at the fella/bella couple stamps, but I was wondering if some of you could give me a link to your galleries so I could see what you have done.
I just got my cuttlebug today, so I thought that would be neat to use on the invites. Oh yeah, I only have to make about 12, as it is a small wedding.
I just made my neices wedding invitations...She got married in April...I used my cuttlebug...These were very, very simple....I have a couple of extra...if you would like to pm me with your address...I would be happy to send you one in the mail so you can get a up-close look.
You invites were so pretty, Cindy! Thanks for offering to send one, but I got a good look from your pictures. I just offered to do the invites today, and my aunt still isn't quite sure what she wants. Just doing some preliminary looking!
I have used this idea in the past for a friend. On cs use either a picture of the bride and groom to be or beautiful stamped flowers. Then print the invitation onto vellum. Overlay the vellum onto the cardstock. I used pretty brads to hold the vellum onto the cardstock. they came out beautiful and you could see the great picture under the vellum. This is very affordable and pretty. I think vellum can be very elegant if used with the right colors. Good luck in you adventure. Hope you get some great ideas
Hi Martha, I just did the wedding invites for a friend of mine -- with fabulous input from these great stampers here at SCS. If you put "wedding invites" into the search box, you'll get a ton of great info and ideas. Happy stamping!
I didn't stamp my invitations, but I did make my own wedding invitations, RSVP cards, programs, and seating chart. I requested some invitations I liked from a few different major invitation companies, but couldn't get any in my wedding colors of red, black, and white. So I used one sample I really liked as a template and made my own.
I'll upload some pics to my gallery as soon as I can.

I know that I'll be helping with the invites and stuff for my brother's wedding (which will be in a few years), but I'm keeping my eyes open for ideas now - and sticking them in my favorites thread to look at with his fiancee. Anything to make my life easier down the road when I'm a bridesmaid.
