My bff are ALWAYS talking on the phone about one project or another and i don't know why neither of this has ever thought of this before---webcams??? We could literally craft together and see what the other is doing ALMOST as if we were really together....looking for a good inexpensive camera...don't mind paying more but why if there is one that will do the job....suggestions please????/ thanks...
thanks so much girls..if you can post the webcam style or # that would be awesome...and we are so hoping to do the skype...don'tcha just think this will be the nxt best thing to playing together??? thanks again....sandi
I have a Microsoft webcam. I bought myself, my mother, and my sister one for Christmas a couple years ago. Now we can all see each other and talk almost every day. My niece and I have "craft dates" via skype and its really fun since she's only 9 and I can see what she's doing and I can show her "in person" how to do things.
thanks so much everyone....and I checked out the one of the link you suggested Ted and I think this is the one I am going to get....can't wait to play with my friend who lives 5 hours away....does everyone use Skype or is there another way ya do this...thanks...sandi
Skype is absolutely fantastic! My daughter and family currently live in Okinawa, Japan. Yet this morning via Skype, I got to see my almost 3 year old grandson open all of his Christmas presents. It was wonderful!
This just made my Christmas so very very special.
Yes, I can see it too, for the use you mentioned. Although, we could use a better webcam so I'm interested here and thanks for the thread about it.

I love my webcam too. If you order online, check the prices on newegg.com. They are very competitive and have wonderful customer service/support. That's a great idea to craft with your friend!
