Default webcam suggestions anyone?????

My bff are ALWAYS talking on the phone about one project or another and i don't know why neither of this has ever thought of this before---webcams??? We could literally craft together and see what the other is doing ALMOST as if we were really together....looking for a good inexpensive camera...don't mind paying more but why if there is one that will do the job....suggestions please????/ thanks...

Logitech QuickCam is pretty good, and around 25 - 30 bucks.

Hi Sandi!

I'm not a girl, (*grin*) but I thought I'd show you the one I got a while back (it's wonderful!)

I have a Microsoft webcam. I bought myself, my mother, and my sister one for Christmas a couple years ago. Now we can all see each other and talk almost every day. My niece and I have "craft dates" via skype and its really fun since she's only 9 and I can see what she's doing and I can show her "in person" how to do things.

Glad to help, Sandi!

I use Skype and I'm VERY pleased with the quality (in sound anyway). Much better than Yahoo! Messenger (at least for me).

It's a free program. I suggest you both download it and give it a shot.

Skype is absolutely fantastic! My daughter and family currently live in Okinawa, Japan. Yet this morning via Skype, I got to see my almost 3 year old grandson open all of his Christmas presents. It was wonderful!
This just made my Christmas so very very special.

Yes, I can see it too, for the use you mentioned. Although, we could use a better webcam so I'm interested here and thanks for the thread about it.

I love my webcam too. If you order online, check the prices on newegg.com. They are very competitive and have wonderful customer service/support. That's a great idea to craft with your friend!
