Default Wanted: Honest bloggers to critique artwork

One of my goals for starting my blog was to improve my stamping and paper crafting. While I appreciate and love positive feedback (who doesn't?); sometimes I wish people were a little more honest with their feedback. I would never go to someone's blog and say "Gosh your card is hideous!" but I have been known to make suggestions if the artist asks for suggestions or help.

I realize this is sort of an oxymoron because we publish "finished" work on our personal blogs. So I have decided to create a new blog to have a place where we can post stuff that is "almost there" but might need some tweeking before being published on a personal blog or used in another way.

I have started a new blog called stamping critique. If you are interested in posting artwork for feedback/ constructive comments and critiquing the artwork of other members, you can e-mail me at [email protected] The blog will be on blogger and I will add you as an author so you may upload artwork to be critiqued.

I think this is a great idea. While I love all the positive and encouraging comments (i mean who doesn't), I would like feedback that would also help me improve my stamping. Count me in. Sending you an email.

I totally understand where you are coming from. Lately I was totally frustrated in my attempts to create a Christmas card using the Holy Triptych. But I went ahead and published my cards on my blog even though I was not happy with them. I was honest about my frustration. And I was very glad to have received several e-mails from bloggers with suggestions on what I could try. All very helpful in the end and resulting in a card I liked very much.
I think we just need to let others know we are seeking advice/honest opinions -- and we'll get them!
