BUMMER! I just called in an order to Viking because I couldn't get the code for the legal pads to work. She did find the special for me, but said it was just a 1-pack limit. So, I guess I won't have to find room for 100 pads! Nuts...had some plans for 'em, too.... :(

Did anyone order more then one pack of the legal pads and get them? I see that someone called them and was told it's only 1 pack. I was really tempted by these but need to convince the DH that I need more stamping stuff. (and after spending 25 $ at paperzone yesterday he's not bound to be thrilled)

Call me crazy but for 1 cent a pad (5cent for a pack of 5) I ordered 20 packs! And I got 100 legal pads! I have no idea what that 1 pack limit is about!
They were on backorder when I ordered, but showed up within the week.
And since I ordered $25 worth of stuff, I had free shipping! Those legal pads were heavy and I paid nothing for shipping! What a deal.
I have been giving them out to my freinds! And brought some to work.
YOu should just try to put in your order and under quantity put more than one....see what happens!
I've been working on this Viking order for about three hours and just want to mention what I "learned" in case it helps the next person.
To get the prices quoted in this forum, the order has to been entered by catalog number--look for the tab on the home page "order by catalog number". The code for the permanent adhesive refills appears to now be QL9-62202, and the code for the permanent dispensers (just in case you aren't converting right away to SNAIL) is QL9-62201. Only the medium point RSVP pens will ring up at .38 each--I could not get a different price code on the fine point. I was told to use, for the legal pad offer, code Z01-4305, and that only 1 5-cent offer would be able to be entered, but whether I put in a quantity of 20 or 1, in both cases the item was back-ordered. I don't what, if anything, I'm going to get, or what I will be charged. There was no additional information online, and I didn't even find a five pack in the hard copy of the catalog. The QE9-PRBR931 code for a free clock per $100 order is no longer valid, but code QF9-PR823 appears to be fine. Only 1 free gift per order, and request it in the "comments" portion near the end of checkout, not in your shopping cart. However, the $ or % off code does go on your list to be put in your shopping cart. My first attempts to place an order by entering the codes given at the beginning of this forum resulted in the correct items in my shopping cart, but the computer converted code and the prices to the ones posted in their catalog, which are much higher. Viking customer help were very friendly, but I really had to be persistent to get codes that would show these lower prices. Hope this info is helpful (or are they, even now, changing the codes again?)
I had forgotten that you have to order by catalog number to get the mono deal, even though I've ordered b4 :-P. So thank you. I was having trouble ordering, but with your post I just made a successful order.
Oh my gosh! My husband just came home from playing tennis with a neighbor and they told him that 4 heavy boxes arrived at their house today. I couldn't think for the life of me what it was --- my SU! Kit is not due to arrive until TOMORROW (WhooHoo).... So we went over there and I opened up the first box in their foyer and it was my legal pads!! I ordered 50 packs of them for a total of $2.71. I did this on 8/18/04 and they were back ordered. (how quickly it took me to forget!)... Well, each box weighed approx 30 lbs! So, I gave the neighbors high school kid 3 packs of the paper to help us carry the boxes home! I can't believe I saved $835.00 (or so they say! Yeah right!).

viking pads
I just went to go get my kids from school, and there were 3 boxes outside. I had no idea what they were (short term memory) so I also opened them up right then and there.... 200 legal pads! LOL. 40 packs of 5. I guess I ordered before they "caught on" to us SCS! LOL :oops:
I will be giving them to my mom, friends and hmmm... I have a friend at Kinkos, maybe I can sweet talk him into cutting them for me for FREE!!! A girl can wish anyway.
I ordered my stuff from Viking late yesterday afternoon, Pacific Time. It was on my front porch this afternoon!! I'm stunned. I live in California, but I thought they shipped this stuff from the East Coast. Even if from the West Coast, that's FAST!! I've never, ever had delivery service like this before.
I am trying to enter the code for the $20 off a $75 order and am having no luck. I am using QJ7-PRD20 that was listed in another post but it is not working. I am entering the number in the catalog order number spot am I doing this right???
That was a very painful process. I was able to get one pack of the legal pads. But that is the screwyist item number system I have ever seen.
I am glad someone posted because I thought I was too late for the deal.

I just tried QL9-62202, which is posted above. It worked for me. I did not actually *order* any, bc I currently have more mono than any one person really needs :-). You have to click on Order by Catalog Number in the upper left hand corner of the home page.
For the life of me, I can't get the legal pad code to go in right! It keeps saying that it is not a valid item number. I have used every legal pad code I found in this thread, and I already have $35 in my cart. What am I doing wrong???
Viking is showing the mono on backorder. Anyone have any idea how long it will take to come in?
What is your experience on how long it takes to come in being on backorder?
Mine has been backordered for a week already. When I called the lady told me it could be 1 or 2 more weeks. She says that they can barely keep this stuff in stock!
