I've been making Valentines for a woman who intends to mail them to her friends and used a straight-forward "Happy Valentine's Day". I also used "bee mine" because the cards use images from Stampin' Up!'s bee set and it's a cute pun appropriate to the images. Because of the cuteness and punniness, I thought it was ok,

Maybe a card that "nods" at the holiday that says something like happy chocolate day-calories don't count. Or cupcake or something. Or dont have a sentiment or just a hello with a heart somewhere in the design. Like a critter with a heart balloon.
Harder for male coworkers-maybe go funny...this one is a little blue

If you're finding it awkward to put anything inside a Valentine's Day card to a bloke colleague, then I'd say, just don't 🤣
I use friendship stamps and die cuts, you’re amazing, just for you, happy day, thank for being such a great friend, let’s do coffee, etc. It can always be personalized by what you hand write in the card.
Apologies in advance for going a bit off topic, but if you need something SNARKY a niece once referred to February 14 as Single Awareness Day which made me laugh. (She since has married.)

I'm with you,"galentine", makes me feel like vomiting. :-) I can't figure out exactly why. Maybe it feels patronizing to me?

I have a stamp that says "Happy Heart Day" , Kind of generic and suitable for anyone. Instead of the word heart, it actually has a little heart in the middle. You could easily draw that!
