Need some help please,
Due to some yucky weather my shopping trip was cancelled this week, and I am left to make all my Valentine goodies with what I have. I made some matchbook little treat books, after seeing them on a blog that have 4 sheets of 2x2? paper stapled inside. I made these for another purpose , but decided they will work for my daycare kids. What can I put inside on these papers?
Yeah I'd say stickers, crayons, play dough, markers.....anything that can get them creating!
**And I totally thought this was like the Christmas pickle that you put in your tree and whoever finds it gets a surprise. I thought that there is a special Valentine's pickle too! (so silly!)**

Hey, I thought the same thing!
Do you have small packages of candy, like Skittles, M&Ms, etc? Would those fit in there?
oops sorry guys, never heard of THAT tradition ,LOL.
LAst week I was browsing and came across someone who made these matchbook cards, 12 out of 1 piece of 12x12 paper. They had pieces of paper inside, and I wasn't sure what to put ON the paper. I ended up making some cute little boxes for KitKat treats, also an idea from here I believe. Bad weather or not, Valentines Day, here I come....
BTW- I really love it here, and everyones willingness to help!

Yummy, kitkats!!!!
And the pickle tradition isn't quite as weird or gross as it might sound! There are ornaments that look like pickles, and they usually have the tradition on a tag that comes with it. So you are hiding the pickle ornament in the tree, not a real pickle! That would get really icky! Anyway, people look for it on Christmas Eve and whoever finds it is supposed to get an extra present. Although at our house it's just the "joy" of finding the pickle because we hide it really well every year. Our family members stop in throught the season and try to find it, silly but fun.
