How are you using the wheels now that accessories no longer sold.
Thanks

I have unmounted mine and put them on e-z mount. Now I can finally get a crisp, clear image and perfect placement. I stamp them with my MISTI, of course.

I've unmounted them, and I use them with my Fiskars Stamp Press. They stamp beautifully.

I unmounted most of my wheels and put TIOO on the back so that they will stick to acrylic blocks.

I've unmounted mine, too, except for those I intend to sell. I store them in the SU dvd cases. MUCH easier to use.

Well, before I realized I could unmount them, I got rid of them because I could never roll a straight line!

I unmounted mine just this week. Since they are too long for my long block, i have not played with them yet. I too could not roll straight, but loved them for creating matching tissue paper quickly.

I saw a video and forgot to pin it on cuting them apart for individual stamps. The gal mounted nine stamps from one roll. It was fascinating and a great idea. I may do that with the ends if I cant get a proper block for them.

Make sure that you get the 7 x 5 -inch press, not the compact one. I love this thing! I use it much more often than I use my acrylic blocks. It even works with the big background stamps, and you can use it with all types of unmounted stamps.

I was seriously wheel-challenged (even with a guide I couldn't roll that thing straight!), so mine were unmounted years ago. Several times I bought duplicates so that I could cut one of them into multiple stamps (Every Egg, I {Love} Love, Baby Time). I used them with a long acrylic block from Close to My Heart before I got my MISTI, which is what I use them with now. They are all stored on laminated cardstock three layers deep in the DVD-style cases that SU! sells.

Thanks for all of the suggestions and advise. I had just put mine in a box and said oh well!. I need to search for a tutorial on unmounting the wheel. Thanks for the information on the Fiskars Stamp Press, will look into that also. Thanks again.

You don't really need a tutorial, it's easy, easy easy! Find the "seam" where the end of the rubber strip meets the other end. Cut along the seam with a craft knife, then peel that baby off! It really is just that simple...

If there is glue residue on the back of the rubber, it will peel right off or roll off with a nudge from your thumb. I did about twenty wheels in about half an hour when I first did the un-mounting project.

Leslie and I must be Wheel Sisters. Like Leslie, I gave mine away years ago--long before people came up with the brilliant idea to unmount their wheels.

I hated them. Not only could I not roll them straight, I could not get a good imprint. It would start out dark and fade away before I was finished rolling it across the page.

I haven't used mine with my MISTI yet, but here is the block I use with my wheels...
gridded acrylic block

I like the grid and the finger spots! And the fact that it's 2.5 x 8 inches.

Hmm, interesting. I unmounted all of mine for easier storage (although I have all my regular stamps on blocks of wood), but put cling mount on a large and small wheel (threw the rest away), keep them with the handles in my drawer with applicators and remount when I need to use them as they were originally intended. Now I'm thinking to find an acrylic block long enough and just use that. I never had trouble rolling them, but the 2 wheels and 2 handles are bulky to store.

You're welcome. There are several threads here about the Misti, and they are a featured company as well.

I held off getting one, but she recently offered some that were "irregular" for a discount, so I ordered one. I'm enjoying using it!
